. She/Her Bi/Poly.
The discourse about which twin actually won the fight is totally missing the point. They were “one soul spilt into two bodies” when one died, they both died.
Team Green or Team Black doesn’t matter. There is no winner.
ASOIAF/GoT thought:
Are dragons like birds and poop while in flight? I’d really like to know why we never hear of the guy who died in battle from being struck by falling dragon shit.

Thread:
This past season of Game of Thrones has made me appreciate ASOIAF so much more. I love that the man writing these books has the attention to detail and a true understanding of a characters arc and the path it takes to get there.
I came out to my kids as bi yesterday. It was a conversation I have been unsure of having with them for a long time, but to teach authenticity as parents, we need to be authentic to ourselves. To them it was just another Tuesday, to me it was honest about who I am.
I am officially registered for classes. This girl right here, who didn’t finish high school is officially enrolled as a history major. Big mix of emotions right now.
@davosfingers
please accept a huge thank you for putting in the time every March to host

. So many of us love love love it. This was easily my favourite year (overall felt so much more chill!!) and the best final match up we have seen, ever. Thanks Matt and Scad!
I started reading A Game of Thrones again. It kind of feels like coming home after some time away.
Does anyone else wonder if George would rewrite some of those first few chapters given the chance?
ASOIAF RIDDLE:
I've seen legends rise and fall.
Yet I out stand them all.
I am polished, sharp and strong.
Sit with me, you may not be here long.

The thing is it wasn’t like the early seasons of GoT. It wasn’t cunning and clever. I didn’t need battles. I needed the story to move and make sense.
I just wanted to put out a big thank you to Matt & Scad of
@davosfingers
for keeping this going and giving us a little light and joy (and sadness, wallowing and despair) in these weird and stressful times.
@totesnotalice
She killed it, literally acted the scene with her eyes. So expressive! I think it could have been written better, I never expected an “on screen” death of a 4 y/o and thank fuck they didn’t show it.. but I think it fell flat in other ways.
@totesnotalice
I wanted it to be more book accurate. For Alicent to be present. They’ve really disconnected her and Haelena and it’s odd to me. I was surprised not to see Maelor and not to see the choice, but I think with how they’ve written Haelena I can see why they didn’t make her choose.
I will always be grateful for the TV series for bringing me to these books and ultimately this fandom; but few authors can achieve the quality of writing that George RR Martin does, let alone... well lets not go there.
How well do you know The Targaryen’s?
Every riddle this week will be in honour of Fire and Blood
ASOIAF RIDDLE:
The king they don’t know
I don’t have dragons to show
But they’ll all stare

My point, at the heart of it all is simply thank you
@GRRMspeaking
for letting these guys adapt your books. Thank you for walking away from the show to write when you did, thank you for not giving up on your masterpiece as the show grew.
I don’t think so, I think Ned knew Balon’s nature enough to believe Balon already saw Theon as dead to him. Ned entire arch is about protecting children, not executing them. Thoughts?
Thank you for not losing faith in your fans when people were/are horrible to you about finishing. You owe us nothing, you’ve given so much. Thank you for being the beating heart of this fandom. Thank you for it all.
Still in awe that most of the fandom are turning on the guy who wrote to story for pointing out that the show changed the story the same way all of us have pointed out the the show changed the story.
@ser_travis
I think the part of this book where you really see these guys for a assholes they are is near the beginning. They have their meeting with George, they’re talking, he asks them a serious question and they tell the interviewer “I can’t remember what we told him, just some bullshit”
I lost my grandmother yesterday, my last living grandparent. She was an incredibly strong woman and role model to me in so many ways. Rest easy grandma. ❤️💔
One of my life goals this year has been to do more things for me & better myself. I have wanted to go back to school for a long time but have zero idea what to go for. SO today I did something I’ve been wanting to do for years, I signed up for ASL classes. I’m pretty proud of me.
If you love all things ASOIAF including chatting, riddles trivia and much more feel free to check out the FB group in my bio. If you decide to join mention Bword sent you in the answers 😉
@BryndenBFish
I said this already but I’ll say it again and louder: This fandom is harder on the women of the series then the men. AND ITS JUST ACCEPTED like that dude from the Mandalorian came in and said this is the way and that was that.
