Anganwadi workers in Delhi are currently paid ₹9,678 and helpers ₹4,839. In 2017, they were paid ₹5,000 and ₹2,500 respectively and the hike happened after a protest. They want the wages to be raised to ₹25,000 for workers and ₹20,000 for helpers.
