What really astounds me about Bella Hadid’s Father’s story is, they weren’t just kicked out of their family home by randoms. They offered shelter to a Jewish family who turned around and kicked them out of their home.

The whole ‘integration’ argument is insane. A relative of mine lives in a little England colony near Alicante. 300 villas all clustered together. A pub in the middle called The George ran by a couple from Margate staffed by all their family serving English food and drink 🤷🏼‍♀️

My brain is short circuiting right now. Irish fascists from Dublin have travelled to Belfast and teamed up with Loyalists and are now violently attacking anti fascist protests? So they’re now waving tricolours and Union Jacks together? Where would you even start unpacking this….

This simply is not true even at face value. If a bidder turns down a social house, it gets offered to the next in line and so forth. The only way his statement would be true is if there were 1000’s of habitable empty social housing units. To be clear, Vardkar knows this

@marbieskitchen_ Mark Sloan and ‘the surge’ and this speech. Amazing acting from Eric Dane and James Picken in these scenes.

In all my friend groups we refer to the group as lads. With one friend group, we have a time honoured tradition of when we meet up, one has to announce ‘here we all are now, all the lads’

In Hiberno-English, the plural form "lads" is non-gender-specific, like "ils" in French. Sometimes plural vs singular forms add valuable context as well as just indicating numbers: the way "I have to wash my hand" sounds worse than "I have to wash my hands", for example.

Can’t stand the fact those who ‘stood with Israel’ October 7th onwards are now trying to whitewash their early support by saying ‘I was on board at the start but how could I have known things would escalate? Now I denounce it so my hands are clean’ it’s infuriating #FreePalestine

@ShaneMcAuliffe1 Not shocking to me at all but more shocking is after the years of exposure of these vicious evil views and rampant child abuse, there’s still Wedding, Holy Communions, Confirmations galore with priests still revered at the heart of the community.

@Ciara87C When I was married and living in England I thought about this daily. How to word it that I actually would rather be cremated and poured down a public toilet in Larne than buried in a Cambridge graveyard. It’s a very normal fear

@FrankGreaney Judge is a former Garda. Considering the horrific details of this case heavily involving An Garda Síochána and Moody convincing the victim he was untouchable because of his occupation, Nolan should’ve recused himself at least out of sensitivity and respect to the victim.
