Thank you all for your kindness and love. 🙏
Here I am a week ago at Avebury while waiting for a hospital bed to become available. I am now being well looked after and though the road ahead is long it is the road I have to walk.
The Modern Antiquarian.
The masterpiece that spawned such an incredible community with a love of ancient sites.
If you don’t have a copy of Cope’s Notes yet then I highly recommend you head over to Head Heritage and get a copy while you can

“The gardener digs in another time, without past or future, beginning or end. A time that does not cleave the day with rush hours, lunch breaks, the last bus home. As you walk in the garden you pass into this time”
My dreams take me out among the stones, waking the land.
Today is day ten in hospital. Yesterday I had a couple of hours without infusions and so no drip. I left the room for the first time since I arrived and walked outside.

May Day.
A third loading dose of Infliximab today. A journey started on the Equinox, creating a different view of the cycle of regeneration. Wishing you all a happy May Day and see you all soon 🏥🌿💚
“It was on 24 June 1990 that, quite accidentally, I happened on Derek Jarman’s garden. Five of us – Beth Chatto being the picnic maker – plus my two dachshunds, spent this sunny day on the beach at Dungeness” Christopher Lloyd

Today I walked to Southampton Common from the hospital and while well there we came across this boundary stone.
Back in my room now having enjoyed some sunshine, tees and stones
Thanks to
@Hanpeel

“Jarman was very interested in the traditions and mythology around plants. He noted that almost all the plants growing abundantly on the beach were referenced in folklore or old herbals”
Incredibly sad news here, I will miss Benjamin and his incredible enthusiasm and generosity, his poetry, his power, his artistry and teachings. One of the sweetest people I have ever worked with.
Looking forward to contributing to the Histories & Hauntings season

I have a new album out on the Equinox. The first track on the album 'A Sea of still dreams' will premiere alongside the film I made to accompany it at 10am this morning
We have written for the new issue of bloom about stones, landscape & gardens. Taking in Derek Jarman, Ithell Colquhoun & Barbara Hepworth along the way.
Yesterday I had the pleasure of hearing a very joyful conversation between Howard Sooley & Alasdair Moore about Prospect Cottage, Derek Jarman &
@GreatDixter
at The Spring Flower Show.
Seeing & hearing about how the garden in Dungeness began and developed was very special indeed.
Liminal days and nights.
This film means a lot to me. A sadly departed friend, Brian has been on my mind a lot these past days. Here he is in rude health, brimming with life and wisdom.
Our film recommendation for March is all about the artist Brian Catling. Not only does it feature Wayland's Smithy & poems about stones it also delves deep into his trilogy of groundbreaking novels The Vorrh.
The Cast Squid of a Lost Character.
A new playlist I made in hospital to transport me away from the beeps, alarms and general hospital hum into a different, more peaceful place. This helped along with a stack of books and a sketchpad…
A new deeply ambient playlist from

This one is perfect on waking up, for inducing dreams on falling asleep or diverting from stressful situations, beeps and alarms. Thoroughly tested this past week!

I am pleased to announce a new EP, 'Crowlink', due out digitally on 30th July.
'Crowlink' is named after a hamlet in the Seven Sisters. It picks up from the finale of 'Heart's Ease' and is a collection of songs sung by me and featuring field recordings by

I have loved Spacemen 3 as long as I can remember and so was excited when
