This is becoming all too regular, if it’s not this, it’s divots on greens. Un repaired pitchmarks or bunkers with countless footprints in hours after being raked. The climate is a challenge enough without Golf Course Etiquette getting worse by the year #golf #greenkeeping

4 years ago the area in front of the Highgate first Tee was predominantly Grass,after scraping & several years of spreading brash it’s almost 100% Heather. Great Environmental management by the team,1 of many areas like this that can be seen across the courses #golf #greenkeeping

Round 2 of our winter aeration program begins on Highgate. The only hollow coring of the winter this year (7 inches) due to OM levels being were I want them now so need to do anymore. This will be followed up in March with a 5 inch solid Tine. #golf #greenkeeping

Both courses have had Greens Verticut and topdressed. Preparing for Captains Week. A bit of ☔️ wouldn’t go a miss over the weekend as after all the hard work getting the fairways back from last years drought some are on the edge already #golf #greenkeeping

Week 5 Update : We managed to have 1 day this week without rain managing to top up the aeration holes with sand, Tree Management has continued on 10&11 Lodge,F’ways have continued to be V Drained & path works begun working around 4-12 Lodge first. Cont 1of2 #golf #greenkeeping

Some of the Unseen Summer jobs adding upto well over a 1000 hrs, keeping the Heath on both courses in good health, digging out self setters, Spraying the Bramble Bracken & Balsam & cutting/collecting the coarse grass around both courses #golf #greenkeeping #heathland #NaturalGolf

Recovery work continues on our fairways with large % of fescue dying of in last years drought, Iron Sulphate is doing its thing on the moss and the Verti Drain is on it’s 2nd pass on both courses. Another app of Iron next month before scarifying & overseeding #golf #greenkeeping
