I’m starting over.
This is not my first account
My first one had over 2k followers.
But it failed.
Why?
→ It had no focus
→ No intention
→ The impressions were bad.
So, let me reintroduce myself.
My name is Andre
And I’m here to help you…
→ Create intuitive app
My account is a month old (June 18, 2024)
Here are the stats:

Yes, we’ve been grinding season 1 fam.
I went viral last week
▸ 22,000 views
▸ 1600 engagements
▸ 877 profile visits
The why, the how, the plan, the lessons - we'll talk about it
Season 1, Episode 1, drops tomorrow.
I just hit 300!
2 days ago, I was at 190.
That's +110 friends in just a couple of days!
I took a risk announcing Season 1.
Imagine if I stuck to the norm and didn't?
@codyschneiderxx
You may have mixed up the numbers in your text, but I get the idea.
Lots of men out there, at least curious or, worse, lonely out there.
Yesterday was crazy!
→ Blew past 200 friends!
→ Launched my Seasons announcement
→ 9.3k views on that post and counting!
My secret?
Storytelling - I shared who I am.
I sucked at DMs
I even posted about it.
It got over 2,000 views.
I only got a few DMs out of that
But I pushed myself to DM others instead. The result?
I just had my best week on 𝕏!
→ 1.8k views on my last post
→ Posted my first video
→ Had a call with someone I met on 𝕏
→ Posted a few design roasts
Last month, this account was at 0
Work hard, and the results will come!
Challenge accepted → Challenge delivered
One of the hardest things I had to do:
Create my first video
Thanks,
@brianball
, for the challenge!
In the video, I shared a cool thing I learned from the call
I'm sorry season 1 fam.
Video is postponed until tomorrow.
I underestimated the difficulty and effort it would take to make the kind of video I want to make.
I promise it'll be out tomorrow.

AI is going to replace thousands of designers
→ AI will design full user interfaces
→ AI design will get better
→ AI will take jobs away
It will weed out mediocre designers.
How to not get replaced by AI:
I’ve been a professional designer for 13 years.
Here are 6 rules I live by:
★ Do not exceed 2 font styles
★ Max wrapper width of 1110 px
★ Top Nav > Sidebar Nav
★ Mobile canvas at 375 x 812 px
★ Paragraph font at 16px
★ Only ask for email and password on signup/SSO
I never run out of design ideas
My secret?
I find inspiration everywhere
✓ At the park
✓ At the grocery
✓ On the toilet?
Everything around you is designed
Some are good
Some are bad
But there’s definitely a lesson
Pay attention
You might discover something new.
Made a quick design adjustment to
@soulblissX
's login form for his Subreddit Traffic Tracker web app.
→ Moved the logo out of the login box to declutter
→ Switched the Send magic link color to the primary brand color
→ Switched SSO buttons to adhere to their respective

Canada itself always had this problem of talent and entrepreneurs leaving for US.
The pay is more, US currency is stronger, investor environment are more ok with taking risks.
Not to mention Canada’s current economical problems that stemmed from the pandnic… its very

Did a quick design concept for
@innermaps
's Refresh Agent website.
Here are the things I changed:
→ Fixed top header to include all nav items in one line (logo, nav, signup/login)
→ Cleaned up the copy to focus on a headline and supporting text
→ Made the
I’ve increased signups by at least 20%
Many signups make the same mistake:
➤ Felt like an afterthought
➤ Complicated
➤ Long
But I always apply this one fix:
@marc_louvion
The only way to fail is to quit.
Everything else is either a win or an opportunity to learn something.
Thanks for sharing its not an overnight success.
@zachmstuck
If we're talking strictly mobile:
I design on 375x812.
It has been the staple up until recently—the iPhone 6 had a 375px width, and the iPhone X standardized on an 812px height.
Oddly enough, I mentioned this as one of my design rules post this morning.
@michalmalewicz
Companies don’t care if the design is the same but the ethical burden falls on platform. Could be the only hope for designers to survive this difficult time.
@karine_hsu
Because I am into startups,
@slidebean
's YouTube channel has always been a go-to for me.
I tend to enjoy founder accounts more though than company accounts though like
@JayHoovy
's videos.
I find that many apps lack proper onboarding design.
Always nail down your signup journeys to ensure your new users know what to do after joining your app or SaaS.
Many convert but don't stay because of a lack of a proper onboarding experience.

UX as a moat is a real thing, folks.
Do you want to win against your competitors?
Provide a better user experience.
That's how you win them over and keep them.
@DannPetty
Just like how mobile design took over flash websites as a priority for what’s next in web design, AI is now that.
You mention how designers have to master AI to stay competitive. Any specific examples you can share on how one can do that?
@matt_gray_
I fully agree!
You're the only one who can take care of yourself, and you can't move forward if you make yourself incapable by neglecting self-care.
@AlexHormozi
100% agree!
The ones that achieve their goals are the ones that stick to them.
Having the ability to commit is an advantage these days.
Failure only happens when you quit.

@eliasstravik
1. Having a search and filtering system based on common use cases would be a good start.
2. Best to recommend the most beginner friendly AI tool. Some are more complex than others.
@MrNick_Buzz
In my experience, feedback gets very chaotic when using a community feedback approach.
Not everybody will understand the premise, quickly provide feedback, and move on.
I, for one, found your approach very impressive.
Even if the design did not fit what they're looking for,
@createdbygabi
- Love the idea for super post (might purchase after my nap lol)
- I get why launchpage didn’t pan out, people don’t really want to put the effort to go through each support link to upvote a project, so from a builder’s perspective, they anticipate that their supporters won’t
@ishverduzco
Not controversial at all! These days, people gravitate towards the founder vs the product.
The story captivates the audience, which then becomes a lead magnet for the product.
