I’ve had all the ups and downs racing can bring in the space of a few days. It’s always been a dream of mine to lead up a winner at York and to do it for the Queen in a Group race makes it extra special. It won’t bring the little man back but it’s put a smile back on my face ❤️🐴

I remember one year seeing someone on Facebook write 'the grand national is cruel, the winner will be fine as it still has its value at stud but the other horses won't have a life afterwards' that's the type of stupidity that crawls out of the woodwork on this day every year 🤦🏼‍♀️

This is why I like working for Mr Haggas, he gives horses time and brings them on patiently and slowly. I’ve seen many horses ruined at other yards because they’re galloped until the wheels fall off as 2yos 😩

The best thing about Baeed is that he wasn’t a top 2-year-old, he wasn’t even precocious enough to win the Guineas. He has been given time to mature and look just how good he has become. I wonder how many people would have failed to be patient and never got the best out of him?

My partner rides Mujtaba everyday, he had a horror fall off him back in Spring when he was a naughty colt, it was a miracle he was only badly bruised. So glad to see him win today, lots of hard work has gone into him 🐎
