Our outage center is the place to report a power outage and to get real time updates on the restoration efforts. You can also report a power outage or a gas leak at 1-800-ALLIANT. Just make sure you call from outside your home if you think you smell gas.
We have over 700 crews (triple the normal 'boots on the ground') now working on restoration – and more help is arriving every day from around the nation.
In seven days, we will replace more than 2,500 poles across the state – the equivalent of 8 months of usual work.

As the sun rose across Iowa & Wisconsin, our lineworkers in both states left to help restore power after Hurricane Zeta. About 200 are making their way to Gulfport, Mississippi. They’ll join mutual aid crews from other states to help Mississippi Power get the lights on.

will collaborate on a solar farm to be established on university land south of Ames. The up to 900-kilowatt solar farm could power 230 homes annually and will provide an equal amount of electricity to nearby teaching and research farms.
We’ve partnered with a team of Iowa State University students to make and distribute protective equipment for medical professionals in Iowa. This lifesaving collaboration will produce face shields to help prevent the spread of the coronavirus. (1/2)

Our Marshalltown Solar Garden & Battery work together to provide renewable energy during the day and at night. The 9,500 solar panels put power on the grid when the sun is brightest. They also charge a utility-sized battery allowing us to put solar power on the grid at night.
