welcome! im a very reserved person, and while i dont mind friendly interactions, please dont message me asking:
-when or if something will be finished
-if i can port or make another version of one of my mods
-if you can commission a port. i'm not interested in it, sorry!
i wish x/iv players understood that the "exotic dancer" look is not anywhere near actually representative of real south or west asian cultures, and stems from a history of orientalist stereotypes
i see a lot of ppl who genuinely have no idea that sexualized "belly dancer" imagery is a racist invention of colonial europeans, & the entire aesthetic for dancer (save for the enw gear) is based on that imagery, as well as MANY "sexy dancer" mods, but we can do better
if you want to play a character who's respectfully representative of fantasy equivalents of real cultures, avoid the belly dancer look, characterized by "exotic" sexualized attire w excessive body jewelry. look at real cultural clothing. the game itself should be doing this too
it really bothers me, bc a lot of my friends, players of color, feel uncomfortable in x/iv rp spaces where no care or respect is given to playing characters of color, and people often feel entitled to sexualized stereotypes over listening to even basic criticisms
reposting ads for my first two complete modsets to christen this account! i'm a hobbyist 3D artist with a passion for elaborate clothing mashups, and you can download my stuff here:
two new mods available on my trello: melted ice cream, a chunky pigtail mod for f!au ra, and artificial vanilla, an ice cream shop-inspired dress for f!midlander-based bodies 🍦
if you want to learn to mod, a good place to start is with mashups, and the vanilla creatives discord server is a great place to get advice and find guides for it. everyone is super friendly and helpful!
gonna be sparse with mod stuff bc i finally got a part time job interview at a craft store after 136 job applications and will hopefully soon be. somewhat employed
people who expect lifetime warranties on mods don't understand that that's basically like asking a single independent artist to do the job of an entire corporate department; it isn't tenable, and artists deserve lives after they've sold you something
i agree with everyone who says that fem au ra should have multiple sets of gestures to choose from, or more neutral ones if not, but every time hope does the little chest pat "leave it to me" gesture im like youre soooooo cuuuuuute
i like to make japanese garment mods for my hingan raen character bc i think representing his culture is cool, but i feel a responsibility to design those mods with respect, care, and research, which i feel is a requirement for visually representing cultures that aren't your own

it blows my mind that people still use g/shade after the lead dev tried to use it to install malware and pretty much the majority of the team working on it acted like huge entitled babies and supported it. i Do Not trust like that-- cybersecurity is more important to me than ease
someone needs to make a texture pack for retexturing shining nikki hair bc my one strongly-held mod opinion is that that game has just atrocious-looking hair textures, like melted plastic
hope has a flat chest + cock thanks to sharlayan (magic) healthcare, but didn't change his appearance much beyond that when he transitioned. i hc a much wider diversity in au ra appearance than canon, though, so he's just on the smaller side for a man
i dont even hate the "IMVU" look on paper, i just think the plastic-y, shiny textures of a lot of ports make everything look uncanny and dead in a way that isn't intentional
if i make stupid fandaniel sex mods, like the cryptlurker robe with nothing underneath and the undershirt of that robe as a little slutty sleeveless turtleneck, should i release them. lol
im not very talkative about fandom stuff partially out of privacy and partially bc i'm way more into niche horror than most fantasy rpgs, and i tend to write my x/iv characters in a way that resembles my horror games
i've always wanted to sculpt a dragon cock mod, not necessarily bc i personally do a lot of erotic gposing, but out of the trans desire to see monster body mods and fun genital options
any time i post pictures of hope in outfits before i've flatten them im like yeah he's just wearing fake boobs to pretend to be a female model. i think he'd get a kick out of that
there are certain glam pieces i wont use even in mashups bc theyre connected to orientalist or imperialist imagery-- i think people think "if it made it into the game, it must be fine" but the devs do make criticizable choices and i won't repeat that imagery on my characters
playing a male au ra using the female model, i never know what language to use to differentiate the models, bc male/female and fem/masc are both kind of garbo irt: trans, but which frame youre using requires that differentiation in a way that makes me a little nuts
i am a queer goth from the rural midwest, nothing anyone could possibly say to me online about how i look or how my xiv characters or my art look could possibly touch me lmao
