Sad I did not find this 40% heavy cream from @alexandre_farm much earlier. Don't know if you can see the color but is well...the color of cream. Haven't tasted it yet but I will be using it tomorrow. I understand all of their products are just terrific. They also have a 6% milk.

Regenerative #rotationalgrazing takes a lot of planning, but when it comes time to move a herd to a new paddock our girls make it as easy as pie. Once the gate is opened, they flood in because they know that the grass IS greener on the other side of the fence.

Here are 2 clumps of the nutrition-dense aged silage that we feed our cows year-round. The lighter clump is a mere day old. The darker clump is a year old and has a sour & hearty taste that the cows love. Even we give it a taste every now and then - it's actually pretty tasty!

Wonder what the numbers on a cow's ear tag mean? Ear tag content varies from farm to farm, but they are always used to identify individual animals! Our ear tags show a cow's bday, her father's ID number (which tells us her genetics), and her own ID number (for looking up stats).

Silage season is a wrap! #Silageseason is when we cut the grass that will be used for winter feeding when the fields are too wet to graze. Last year we cut 9000 tons of grass. On the day this photo was taken, we collected an estimated 480 tons of silage (about 40 truckloads)!

Don't break the cold chain! As summer approaches every link in the #coldchain (farm, milk truck, distributor, store, and customer) must take care to keep the milk cold. For the consumer, this means getting the milk home and into the fridge asap – especially on warm days.
