FBI’s Tactical Helicopter Unit UH-60Ms A good way to identify these helicopters apart from Army UH-60Ms is the communications suite along the tail spine as well as the “egg basket” SATCOM above the cockpit, forward the rotor mast.

Personally, I would wager measuring data bursts from the balloon (back to control) as well as any radar signals it may have been emitting (SAR, ISAR, GMTI, GM, FOPEN, etc.)

Interesting sensor on this P-8A. Doesn’t appear to be the MX-20HD (which is usually stored/retracted on departure). Maybe another ESM antenna or additional antenna for the AN/AAQ-2(V)1?
