I visited a Buddhist patient. He knew I was a Christian chaplain but he was open to see me. He tried to recall an old chant & he knew the first word. Suddenly I remembered it. From my late Buddhist grandmother. Rolled off my tongue. His eyes lit up. We prayed the chant together.

City & State reporter says NY Democrats are making an announcement on this mask ban bill at 10:30 tomorrow. The bill as currently written would ban masks at protests and “lawful assemblies,” and does not include a true health exception (only one for public health emergencies).

Lone masking in a large group is and can be such a gaslighting experience—attended a multi-day training with colleagues from offices all over the nation, and I was the only one masked in the room. Outfits slayed 🩷 community not slayed 🩵
