Loved spending the morning in Brookfield with
@AleshaGuenther
knocking doors for
@JusticeDanKelly
! Voters want a Justice who’s committed to the Constitution, not a politician in blue robes.
Great to see
@JusticeDanKelly
with a packed crowd in Mukwonago tonight! We have room on the Supreme Court for the Constitution or Janet Protasiewicz - not both.
2008: California will have a high-speed rail from Los Angeles to San Francisco by 2020 at a cost of $30 billion.
2023: California will have a train from Bakersfield to Merced hopefully by 2030 at a cost of no less than $170 billion.
This article should be a wake-up call. If Republicans - and especially those in swing states like Wisconsin - do not get serious about engaging and connecting with young people, we will continue to lose elections. It's that simple.
Voters age 18-29 split 70/30 for Evers.
If the Republican Party doesn't start caring about and connecting with young people, we will continue to lose elections. It's that simple.
UW-Madison has six vice chancellors, who all receive six-figure salaries. If we want college to be more accessible for more people, we should find ways to cut expenses instead of just subsidizing demand over and over
Regardless of the CDC, cruises are dumb. You want hotels, casinos, entertainment, and water slides all in one place? Have you heard of Wisconsin Dells?
.
@GovEvers
says he cares about mental health. As a Wisconsinite who struggles with mental health, I was proud to support AB541, which is a free and bipartisan way to increase access to teletherapy.
Today, he vetoed the bill. Seems he’s a hypocrite who doesn’t actually care.
Last year, I discovered firsthand how bad Wisconsin’s shortage of mental health professionals is. Now,
@GovEvers
,
@WIAssemblyGOP
, and
@WisSenGOP
have a chance to help thousands of people like me without spending a cent. Read this piece I wrote on how:
As of this week, we’ve visited more than 75% of Wisconsin’s counties.
We’re not stopping any time soon. This is a race for the future of our state - we will visit every county and talk to as many voters as possible because every voice matters!
There are only a few more weeks of summer, folks, and that means just a few more weeks to get outside and enjoy all that makes a Wisconsin summer so special.
The Rule of Janet begins today.
Now more than ever, Wisconsin conservatives must unite, move forward, and take back control in 2024, 2025, 2026, and beyond. Let's go! 🇺🇸💪
Today,
@Tony4WI
vetoed AB885, which would ensure that college students in Wisconsin can sue bureaucrats over violations of the First Amendment on campus.
You can't do this and claim you care about students or free speech.
More than a quarter of Wisconsin college students leave the state once they graduate, often to MN or IL.
We have to enact policies to make this state better for young people who want to start their professional lives - lower income taxes, safer communities, and better jobs
Inflation stings most if you earn less than $300K. Here's how to deal:
➡️ Take the bus
➡️ Don’t buy in bulk
➡️ Try lentils instead of meat
➡️ Nobody said this would be fun
Most people pay their barber based on whether they like their haircut, not on how many hours of "training" the barber was forced to sit through.
The claim that licensure reform lowers quality for consumers or wages for workers is a myth.
One thing I wish more people understood is that when you lower professional standards through "licensing reform," wages go down, and that's not a side effect - its the whole point.
If you want wage growth, be very wary of politicians who go after professional licensing.
If you're complaining about tonight's results, I look forward to seeing you actually working to right the ship over the next two years. Elections have consequences; put up or shut up.
I literally cannot believe this has to be said, but Osama bin Laden was evil and nothing he said can ever justify what he did or coordinated.
I was six months old when 9/11 happened and I still know that.
Only 1 in 10 low-income MPS students graduate from high school with the ability to read at grade level.
@SenChrisLarson
thinks that giving more of those students the chance to attend a school where they can reach their full potential is a *bad* thing.
Monday, the Senate Education Cmte will hear testimony on a bill to massively expand private school vouchers.
The voucher lobbyists estimate 20k more slots would be added under this proposal. There is no scenario where this would not harm public schools.
I’ll be voting “no.”
White supremacists like Nick Fuentes should not be embraced by conservatives, and I'm especially disheartened to see young people act this way. The future of our movement has to get their act together if we ever want to win elections again.
📢 Exciting News! We're thrilled to announce that Nick Fuentes will be joining us at the College Republicans United State/National Convention in Prescott Arizona July 30th! Reserve your tickets today.
For once,
@Tony4WI
is right. A child’s success shouldn’t be dependent on their ZIP code. That’s why I support school choice for all. I wonder why he doesn’t..?
Whether a child is born in Milwaukee or Marshfield, whether their parents are rich or not - they should have the opportunity they need to succeed. Let’s continue moving Wisconsin forward.
Actions speak louder than words - if the number of tweets you post is higher than the number of doors you knock, you are likely not a serious person in politics.
This is seriously concerning: A government agency called for opponents of the Jones Act to be charged with treason.
Advocating for and against legislation is *the point* of our republic, not a threat to it.
Awesome to hear from

“Alex Bruesewitz, a GOP consultant aligned with former President Donald Trump, is planning to launch a bid for Wisconsin’s 8th congressional district…”
Told you guys
@alexbruesewitz
was lying about his FL residency.
Wow - a group of UW professors is calling a survey of students' opinions a "sign of a well-organized campaign against higher education in the state of Wisconsin."
If that doesn't tell you how they feel about free speech and intellectual diversity, I don't know what will.
The Evers campaign apparently couldn’t find a single photo of a college student excited to support him.
I know a couple hundred

who are ready to

Everyone knows the best day of the year to buy candy is the day after Halloween...
Except in Wisconsin, the state treats one of these as "candy" (and thus makes you pay sales tax for it) and the other as a "grocery" (which has no sales tax)
Kicking off Labor Day the best way I know how - a rereading of Justice Alito's majority opinion in Janus v. AFSCME.
The right to work and earn a living free of unnecessary government encroachment is fundamental, and we must continue to fight for it every day. 💪🇺🇸

vetoed school choice for all.
@Tony4WI
vetoed MPS reform

vetoed the Parents’ Bill of Rights.
Do not let

do this and then try and tell you he cares about education.
Quick ~personal news~ update: today is my last day at
@badgerinstitute
. A "quick project" turned into almost two years of helping with policy research for the great state of Wisconsin. I'm proud of what I've done here, and I'm looking forward to what I'll get to do in the future.
Every college conservative I know who brings speakers to campus has to coordinate with police to ensure their safety. Some even get death threats. If this doesn’t show that free speech is under attack on our nation’s campuses, I don’t know what does
We strongly condemn the violence perpetrated against
@iwf
spokeswoman
@Riley_Gaines_
on

campus. Riley was violently accosted, ambushed, and physically assaulted during a speech on sex discrimination women face in their own single-sex sports category.
Excited to be in the Capitol today to testify in favor of SB515, which would increase access to mental health care in Wisconsin!
This bill is great policy; it’s also personal to me. Mental health shouldn’t be partisan, it should just be common sense.
Come hang out with us on Library Mall to celebrate everything that makes America great! We'll have free t-shirts, American flags, pocket constitutions, and popsicles!

Ernest Blakney pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting a child.
Until his sentencing, he was let out on $5000 bail. This week, he killed his girlfriend, tried to burn their house down, then led a police chase through Milwaukee.
Bail reform NOW.
If you ever get imposter syndrome, just remember that John Chisholm’s chief deputy thinks that the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s office has a “strong approach to violent crime”
Kent Lovern, MKE Co DA chief deputy running for DA this fall: "Clearly the biggest issue in this community is safety ... I think consistently we’ve had a philosophy of taking a strong approach toward violent crime, but perhaps that message needs to be reinforced more publicly..."
A new Republican proposal would amend the state constitution to require voters show photo ID.
The issue is expected to come before the new liberal-controlled state Supreme Court.
The proposal must pass through two consecutive Legislatures before going to voters for approval.
Great launch to our State Deployment in La Crosse County this morning!

Let’s be clear: “COVID” did not cause these failures, our abhorrent response to it did. Keeping kids out of classrooms for a year has created a generation permanently stunted in educational ability.
