Ace is a master of lying, but to demonize him is everything that Ace fans feel the opposite of! Because! His whole character is about pretending not to care even though he does! How I interpreted the story, Ace did all those things he found boring because it made his ex happy.

One of my fave things about twst is all the characters have some kind of interaction with each other that's really funny, sweet or downright hateful. I love noticing when fanart is inspired from one tiny interaction. 🥺 None of the ships feel like crack to me...

I hope after this event, people find Floyd cuter and sweeter than they thought. Still a menace, but willing to be calm and help others in times of stress and need. I remember when he helped that little girl who was lost during Halloween. He really is more tender than he seems. ♥

My takeaway was that Ace is more than just his words and you have to read between the lines to truly appreciate him. He has a sweet heart and just wants to enjoy his time with people he cares about.

The cherry on top of the Suitor Suit vignette is when Ace crouches to the floor blushing because the other freshmen realize he cares more than he lets on, even though he acts so aloof. That is the cornerstone of Ace's character. 🥰

In the vignette, Ace looks so pouty and mad as he tells the NRC freshmen about this. But through my Ace oshi goggles, I see him as being upset that he felt neglected and pushed around, when relationships are supposed to be fun for both people.

to which Ace explains was a headache and he would rather just spend time with his friends and not bother with romance. Commonly, Ace gets hate because of this. Personally, I find taking Ace at face value and siding with the ex-girlfriend is not the point of the story.

In the end, him not knowing how to properly end the relationship (being selfish/ghosting her) caused him even more problems. I can’t fault him for this mistake because it was his first relationship. Plus, something tells me the ex-girlfriend would have not understood anyway.

The port of Sage’s Isle is actually beautiful. I think there’s a lot to do for students, so it’s good for comics or story-writing. 😌 There’s the beach, shops, the piers, docks unloading goods, and I assume restaurants with fresh seafood. That also looks like a lighthouse?
