Anytime I see people crowd funding to do ‘sadaqatul jaari-ah’ for a deceased, I explain this; Sadaqatul jaari-ah is the sadaqah that one does BY THEMSELVES while still alive. You can’t do sadaqatul jaariah on behalf of anyone. Please let us research more on this. Allahu a’alam.

Never fully grasped the intensity & importance of the last third of the night until this year. I guess we keep hearing these scholars preach but its only when Allah azza-wa-jalla opens our ears & hearts, that we truly understand.

A lady I knw (online) in our (former) pregnancy support group messaged & said she & her child are both ill, & hospital diagnosed her months old son with malnutrition. She swore that they dnt even have what to break their fast with today, her baby doesn’t hav enough breastmilk💔

Mummy twitter, I am so surprised to tell you that ‘gentle parenting’ works. Its difficult, but it definitely works. You get your child to do things more calmly, & listen to you more. It needs a lot of patience though.

I’ll never stop saying this, women should build a life for themselves outside their marriage. I don’t know how to explain it but be independent emotionally & financially. Keep friends, stay in touch with your family. Have a life. A man can switch up on you at any time.

An easy way to do this is to listen to/watch scholars akhdari lectures. There are complete akhdari series on YouTube by different mu’allims. My favorite is Jabir Sani Mai Hulla’s comprehensive lectures. Its on YouTube & Facebook.

Our Muslim men have a problem with women who don’t want to indulge in polygamy. Polygamy is not by force, it is not mandatory it is not obligatory. Not wanting to be involved in polygamy does not make one a sinner, I’m blaming this on lack of Islamic knowledge, such a conundrum.
