I love writing comics, but still working on profits. In the last two years... I've paid artists over 10,000. I've paid printing places over 5,000. I've cut Kickstarter in a few K in fees, Shopify. Mail, another few thousand. Supplies another 2kish. Me? Negative thousands.

One thing I've learned from the 4 Kickstarter campaigns I've run, it's a lot better to have the campaign end as close to the finished product as humanly possible. Done before your campaign is even better for everyone involved.
