As we prepare to say farewell to Miss Anne Friel as she retires, we took time to take this lovely photo 👇
Mrs Quinn and Mr McFadden were in Miss Friel’s first guidance group in SCHS and Jack and Lucy are two of her last guidance group. 🥹
It wasn’t only the S6 photo we received today…..we now have an official school photo of our emotional support dog, Indie! 🐾
Will need to work with her on how to tie a tie 😜
We are delighted to share our inspection report! We are incredibly proud of our dedicated staff, outstanding pupils & wonderful families☺️
The report highlights our nurturing ethos underpinned by an ambition for all young people to achieve their best 🌟
Thanks to Fr Gerry for his contribution to the match today. Definitely a fans’ favourite once again! Here he is with another fans’ favourite, Owen D!

service. Special mention to the S1 Drama group who performed so well. Thanks to Fr Gerry for leading us in prayer and to the Neeson family who joined with us today.
Delighted that so many of you have taken the opportunity to pick up school jotters from your local shop over the last week. Thanks to the eight stores around our catchment for agreeing to store the jotters & for the phone calls when the stock needs replenished! 📚😊
Well done to Avril McLoughlin, the first recipient of the John Queen award. John was a former St. Columba’s teacher who sadly died last year. We were delighted that his wife, Kay, was able to join us this evening.
And they’re off! Following 15 speeches from staff, we finished off with a rendition of Loch Lomond 🎶🥲
What a fantastic send off for our S6 Superstars 🌟🙌😎

Today S4 marked the 6 month’s mind of their classmate, Zachary. They prayed, reflected together and wrote messages on angel wings for a Christmas tree to be given to Zachary’s family. Thanks to Toni-Leigh and friends for organising and to Fr Gerry for his words of hope.
Please pray for the repose of the soul of Canon O’Keefe. He was a very well known face around St. Columba’s and a great servant of the school for many years.
May he rest in peace 🙏
Today we say farewell to Robert, our school crossing patroller. We thank him for keeping us safe on Tower Drive over the last 5 years and wish him a long and healthy retirement.
Sean Fischer-Keogh is on fire for Scotland 🔥 🔥 🔥
He's taken three wickets with the new ball to restrict Bangladesh to 35/3!

Today is the Feast Day of our patron, St. Columba. Although we cannot celebrate together as we normally do, on Friday at 1pm Fr Gerry McNellis will celebrate Mass in our oratory and it will be live-streamed on our school Facebook page.
We are all looking forward to welcoming back pupils tomorrow - especially our new S1 pupils!
How lucky are we to have a school with a view like this?
See you all at 8.50am 🤗
