Bloody hell fire - 39 years ago. Ha ha. Seems like just the other day - note the safety fire blanket on Stephen’s piano. We re-recorded the song for this performance, then mimed to it. Bonkers I know. I remember the MU or BBC wouldn’t believe we’d redone it, strings n all.

. @ABBA - The Day Before You Came. At the end of 1982 with Living On The Ceiling in the top ten, Stephen, Me & Vince (Clarke), along with our partners, went to Tenerife for a week over Xmas. (Blancmange had to be back in the UK to perform on the tube on New Year’s Eve). 1/3
