I hope the parents are reading the language in the bills that are presented. As written, this isn’t going to give the choice that parents think they are getting but it sure gives power to the private schools for selection and removal of students all while accepting taxpayer funds

God forbid another school shooting happens. I guess the response will be “well, if we just would have approved vouchers, we would have also provided funding for additional safety measures”. One has zero to do with the other and needs to be handled as such.

Some politicians would have you believe that they are creating school choice with ESA/vouchers. If that choice by the parent can then be restricted by non-selection, it’s no longer school choice. True school choice drops all admission restrictions but that really isn’t their goal
