One of the most impactful classes I took in college was Russian Economic Transition with Dr. Richard Ericson. Dr. Ericson must be one of the foremost experts on the Soviet economy left.
The goal of this thread is to show just how insane the USSR was and explain *why*
Imagine how historically illiterate you have to be to think American colonists wouldn't have jumped at the opportunity to take life-saving vaccines. Washington literally vaccinated his army-- a decision which might have been the difference between winning and losing
Russia has 22 production Su-57s. 1 was already been lost. That’s nearly 5% of their total production!!! 5% of the F-35 fleet would be over 50! There have only been like 30 *crashes* (including not lost frames).
@Trollstoy88
It’s literally never going to exist. Russia can’t even get a fifth generation fighter into production, but it’s going to get a more advanced fighter? Russia will be flying 1980s tech while the US is fielding 2030s tech.
@REALDonThomas
“Michigan didn’t cheat”
“Okay but it was only one guy”
“Okay it was only one guy and a coach”
“Okay it was only one guy and a coach and a booster”
I’m noticing a trend
This video is a fantastic example of how online communists operate: they just overwhelm you with made up shit. They throw so much at you that it’s simply impossible for you to answer them all.
@JChambo98
@OAlexanderDK
@squatsons
Oh so close. But that’s not the answer. The correct answer is “Russia’s special military operation has been a special military disaster”
You’ll be shocked to learn this simply isn’t true. Prices are up 24% since 1/19. The average wage for all employees is up 30% and the average wage for production and nonsupervisory employees is up 27%.
"You don't need guns to protect yourself. The police will protect you."*
*terms and conditions may apply. The police may also kill you or just stop protecting you at the worst time. They might also shoot your dog.
Ya I’m sure Hitler would have been thrilled to support a country with a Jewish President and other prominent Jewish figures and has equal rights for all

Do you not understand that F-35s crash more because there are 50x more F-35s than Su-57s and each gets hundreds of flights hours a year? The Su-57 doesn’t crash because they simply don’t fly.
@Dartagan_Llore
@SCOTUSblog
That is called religious discrimination. It’s not allowed in the US. Maybe you’d be more comfortable in a country that allows it.
@Mk18mod1iscool
@defnotfsb
And are those active combat mission launching missiles deep inside friendly skies???
If rhe F35 having “so many” crashes is not normal then what does it say about the S-57 which crashes far more often? 5% of the fleet is already gone!
@squatsons
@OAlexanderDK
Basically every post you make? You’ve constantly pretended that Russia was on the verge of finishing off Ukrainian forces and they can’t even advance more than 100 yards in in a month
@chunker007
@Trollstoy88
1. The Su-57 is closer to 4.5 than 5.
2. The Su-57 is nothing more than idea that will never see the light of day
3. Correct. Russia will never mass produce a 6th gen fighter. They’ll create a model. Build 3. And pretend that is equal to the US producing hundreds
@YALiberty
If we learned any lesson from WW2, it's that letting authoritarian and imperialistic with a tendency for ethnic persecution take over other countries territories is a recipe for peace.
@Miserymanfunny
@War_Mapper
Naw. Russia has been putting a lot of effort into the Bakhmut area with Wagner. I’d imagine the Ukrainian goal in the sector is just to hold the line and keep loses at a minimum and the Kharkiv offensive should eventually force them back to avoid being trapped.
I don’t understand why the populists are so adamant about pretending they like Americas founding. They don’t. But I guess “we want to be Argentina” or “we want to be Hungary” aren’t good rallying cries.
Last time I checked, school choice largely gives the "poors" a chance to go to the private schools their family couldn't afford otherwise.
But we can't have that because we need to defend public teachers unions.

I did use my own words but I’ll make it clear.
FEE choose to use a time series that doesn’t have a seasonal adjustment because it suited their narrative
The NYT, Spectator and NBC News — once cheerleaders for maximalist Ukrainian demands — are now suddenly urging Ukraine to get realistic about its goals.
The point of the Jones Act is that “sure, shipping costs between US ports might be dramatically higher but we will protect our domestic ship building industry”.
We got the dramatically higher shipping costs, but not the ship building industry. Shocker.
The Pentagon admits that the US is not a capable industrial power anymore and can't produce ships in relevant quantities: "We would love to live in a world where the yards could make three [DDGs] a year, or three submarines a year, but we don't live in that world."
