It was a privilege to honour the memory of Pte. Buckam Singh with Minister Anand. Pte. Singh was 1 of 9 Sikhs permitted to serve in the Canadian Expeditionary Force in WWI. He is an example of courage and commitment to Canada and serves as an inspiration to us all.

Today we announced more than $57 million from the Federal Government for 5 public transit projects in Waterloo Region. This funding will provide 31 new buses, 21 specialized transit buses, a new maintenance and storage facility, & improved capacity and reliability!
