Andrew Pierce is very concerned about the cost to taxpayers of keeping asylum seekers in hotels. From a man who works for a newspaper owned by a company registered in Bermuda to avoid paying tax in the UK. And for a billionaire boss who claims non-dom status to avoid paying tax.

@mrjamesob @MarinaPurkiss If the BBC replaced Laura Kuenssberg with Marina Purkiss it might actually be worth tuning in at 9am on a Sunday morning. Maybe in the next life.

@Blockhead1011 @irene89383961 @bojack90s It should but it remains to be seen if it will dissuade millions of over 65's voting Tory. There's also the "We love Boris" brigade to factor in. Depressing.

@BladeoftheS YES Cannot stand the constant interruptions. Panelists are lucky to talk for 10 seconds before foghorn Fiona Bruce talks across them.

@ToryVote_ @RishiSunak We've got the highest tax burden for 70 years, crumbling public services, raw sewage in our rivers and the biggest drop in living standards in our lifetime. So yeah, the choice is clear.

@Jeremy_Hunt I recognise you. You're the multi-millionaire who bought seven luxury flats in Southampton and used a loophole to avoid paying £100,000 in stamp duty. And then tried to cover it up. Surely as Chancellor you recognise the importance of paying the taxes you owe ?

@toryboypierce @mailplus 13 years of Tory rule. The asylum backlog is currently over 166,000 On Sunday 616 migrants crossed the channel in small boats. The highest daily total this year despite Sunak bragging about "stopping the boats". Your response, "A vision of Keir's Britain ?" Jesus H Christ.

@GMB @adilray She sits there with a smirk on her face preening herself. Gillian Keegan is Secretary of State for Education and has her eyes fixed on becoming Prime Minister one day. Proof, if any were needed, of just how far we have fallen as a country in recent years. Tory Britain 2023

@toryboypierce Talking of saving millions. Does Lord Rothermere still have non-dom status and avoid paying any tax here ? Is the Daily Mail owned by a company registered in Bermuda to avoid paying any tax in the UK ? Tax helps fund public services so it's important we all pay our fair share

@Haggis_UK Fortunately for Jake Berry he was allowed to spout his nonsense unchallenged by Jo Coburn. Another example of a BBC journalist failing to call out obvious untruths.

#GMB Susanna Reid to the sub postmaster: You were sentenced to 20 weeks in prison, suspended for 18 months. You had to carry out 200 hours of community work. Richard Madeley What about the local shame ? He ought to know. He was caught shoplifting from Tesco twice in 48 hours.
