I really think officials deserve some credit. Many of these men and women are working during a pandemic for little money. And their reward is to get yelled at by people every night. I think some perspective is needed. Without officials, there are no sports. Thank you.

Here is what I propose: Instead of starting a 2020 season, let’s just finish the 1994 season. Every team starts with the record they finished with in 1994. Play the remaining 49 games on that schedule, then have the playoffs. Forget Arizona and Rays exist. Have 1994/2020 champ!

One quick note about N10s: after results were announced, Upper Sandusky coach Graham Treadway led the clubhouse at Valleyview in a round of applause for Seneca East as the outright boys champions. I thought that showed a lot of class, and said a lot about Graham and his program.

So, Tiffin University has four straight road games. I t wins the first one. Coach gets sick and spends next week in hospital, misses a game. TU wins. Coach gets out of hospital, recovers enough to coach next two games from press box. And TU wins both. @CoachGGoff ’s team is 5-0.

I saw two @OHSAASports girls basketball district finals yesterday, and thought each was very well officiated. Officials seem to only get feedback when they mess up. Us sportswriters can relate. Just wanted to let them know they did a really good job.
