Through the Shambles, where St Margaret Clitherow lived, where she hid priests, where she passed on the faith in her school, and where she was arrested for her faith and witness.
The Shrine of St Margaret Clitherow, The Shambles, is open again, every day 9am-5pm. Mass: Saturdays at 10am. It was good to see people going in this morning, and to hear a guide talking of St Margaret's heroism in hiding priests & describing her as a pioneer of female education.
