I’m still putting this out there Jerami Grant: -1 year older than Lavine. -makes 67% of Lavine’s deal. -will require less trade assets to get. -is a multi positional defender who can score 20ppg. -is a KLUTCH client. Imagine a defensive group of Vando/Cam/Grant/AD.

Hope the Lakers realize that: 1. AR is not a point guard. He is a SG who has above average playmaking for his position. His best role IMO is when he can be free to score and act as a connector. 2. Rui is not a wing player. He is a PF/small ball C to me.

Rui struggled against the Warriors but played well against the Nuggets. DLO played well against the Warriors but struggled against the Nuggets. A reminder that styles makes fights in the playoffs. I’m open to bringing back all 3 of AR/Rui/DLO. Only AR confidently did it.

I've always been an AD guy. But it's no coincidence that: 1. won a chip with JAV/Dwight absorbing lots of center minutes (with AD closing at center). 2. beat Memphis/Warriors teams that didn't have a big physical center. Lakers have not fixed that situation.

Someone made this salient point. Imagine if Giannis was all of a sudden asked to be a full-time starting center. That would neutralize so much of his amazing defensive qualities being anchored to the rim. He's also 6'11/245 pounds, similar to AD. AD is put in a tough spot.

THT wasn’t signed to a 3rd/4th year. Consequence: Lakers chose to extend THT over keeping Caruso. Reaves/Christie not given 3rd/4th years. Consequence: Lakers had to extend both earlier. Thankfully the “Pelinka” rule now exists to protect Pelinka.

Once Ham/Lakers realize they are completely slotting AR in a wrong role (i.e. playmaker with the starters), the better it will be for the team and AR. I can't say it any louder, but AR really thrives off ball in scoring opportunities and he is a good secondary playmaker.

Reasons why I think Hurley may leave: -51. Waiting too long is bad for NBA dream. -2 rings, lost the core of his team. May have a less successful season. -NCAA rules may make it tougher to compete. -Conn. weather is brutal (I lived in it!) -Chance to turn Lakers around + $$$.

Kessler is currently 22 years old. In 2029, he'll be 27 years old, entering his prime. Just something to keep in mind with the purse clutching analysis. For me, if we are trading any of our future picks, I want that player to be a young player who can grow with the team.
