@YankeeWRLD
Stop being doom or gloom. Even if he pitches the exact same way he did against the Royals, there is no excuse for our offense to not hit their pitching..
@MLBNetwork
Don’t watch the Braves that closely but is Fried actually that guy? If we’re talking 1 game have to win: I’d take Burnes, Cole, Verlander, Cease in no particular order over him. Can’t argue the rest tho
@JackCurryYES
Also need to stop acting like giving up 2-3 runs is doom and gloom. If the offense doesn’t show up against this starting pitching, that’s gonna be the issue. Since we last won in 2009, it’s ALWAYS the quiet bats that send us home
@Ianm199675
@MaxTGoodman
It’d be short rest. To give Ragans and Lugo regular rest, they’re likely to line up in game 2 and 3. I imagine it would be Wacha or Singer in game 1
@snyyankees
It’s Verdugo, and it honestly should be. Dominguez has done nothing to show he’s the guy that came up last year, and we NEED defense in LF, especially when it isn’t good in CF, 3B, 2B, 1B..
@YankeesSzn99
Considering we missed the playoffs last year and are the
#1
seed this year, gotta be pretty pumped about that. I’ll give them an 8. I took away 2 points for the misery they put us through in June and July.
@DeeshaThosar
@MLBONFOX
Well said, I appreciate you for calling this team out. Whether it’s terrible in game decisions, roster construction, the lack of urgency to win in what could be the peak year of Judges career and the last year of Soto in pinstripes.
@Dariel590069
@MLBDeadlineNews
I think they’d be smart to move Chisolm back to his natural position of 2nd. After signing Soto, they should try to get an impact 3B or 1B.
@CamineroSzn
rain def has a part, but until the Yankees move out of Tampa that town is never going to get behind the Rays. And they’ll have to move out and 20 years will have to pass
@GehrigDieter
I think it’s overblown that his emotions lost him that game in the 4th inning. He gave up a Hr to Salvy then got fluke hits against him from guys that have a .600 ops.
@MLBNetwork
If we’re taking the word “valuable” into the equation, no one has been more valuable to their teams turnaround and likely playoff berth than Lindor
@TalkinYanks
It’s not even about the loss, it’s the message you’re sending fans everywhere that if this scenario came up in the playoffs, DJ is hitting ❌🤡
We gotta stop rooting against our guys. Forget the regular season. Alex Verdugo will make routine and great plays in LF. If he gets us some hits, that’s great too!
@JacobsFieldRBW
I think you’re right on for everyone but the Yankees and Dodgers. This is the best chance you guys have to win (not trying to hate, imagine your division and the AL just get tougher), but it’d be a major disappointment if the Yankees/Dodgers didn’t take advantage of this window.
@TalkinYanks
I beg you to look around the majors and see how many teams can score multiple runs in multiple innings. Something is philosophically wrong with this team.
@MLBONFOX
No disrespect to Cleveland, but how have they even made it this far with just Jose Ramirez and a bullpen? Luckily all 3 will get in bc the AL sucks outside of the 6 teams
@ihadahammer44
@HebHammer94
@EdHand89
feel like you guys don’t need any outfielders. All money should go to pitching. You got an OF of likely Duran, Rafaella, and Abreu set for years.
@HoernerMVP
Agreed. Our fanbase gives this guy too much of a pass. His home runs are great, but usually never timely. He won’t ever score on a 2 out hit from second. His chases are some of the ugliest in the history of baseball. I’m ready for him to retire.
@chimpanchz
@DanAlanRourke
@WalterMaselli1
Don’t get me wrong, I think both teams can win game 1 against any opponent. But when it becomes a crapshoot” and the hot team has players that can put the ball in play, string multiple hits together, I don’t think the Yankees have that. Fortunately we own the AL Central, so pray
@TalkinYanks
Somehow Luis Gil will be blamed for this loss. Not Soto, Judge, or Stanton who could make half their current salaries and still make more than the Royals whole roster
I actually hate Jose Trevino. He doesn’t hit, he congratulates the pitchers when they throw a ball out of the zone, he can’t throw, and he can’t even catch somehow?
@MLBONFOX
It’s crazy that the Royals and Twins can likely finish 81-81 and be the second and third wildcards because ain’t no damn way Boston or Detroit are winning 10 more games at this point.
