Yesterday I was hanging out with friends and I got hit in the jaw by a 32-year-old over a board game. My jaw hurts and I'm absolutely in shock, I've never seen anything like this before. It was a real eye-opener and I'll become a better person to avoid fights in the future.

The main reason people get stuck at certain MMR is because they haven't learned the proper way to learn "Die less or I just played bad this game or bad team"are not how you improve This is the main way to improve at any game

One of the most important skills to learn as a Core player is knowing when to run away or keep farming instead of joining the fight. The reason you're underfarmed is because you join fights and die Here are some tips to help you decide when to run away from a fight⬇️

Stop buying midas on Prophet! The item barely does anything on heroes that farm fast since you kill creepcamps so fast. Just get an actual item and get an extra kill/ die one less time and it's way higher impact. If you buy midas and win, you would've won no matter what you buy

Many people just play the game and win fights by random chance. Good players doesn't leave the fights to random chance. Exceptional players win fights through correct gameplay, not-exceptional players just follow the flow and hope for the best. Here is how you win the fights

All of us high mmr dota players who haven't made it struggle with self doubt. We've put way too much time and being 200th best player on your server is not enough. Dota is a top heavy game and anyone who hasn't made it feel like a failure and bad days can get overwhelming.

Many people think it’s important to keep creep equilibrium and not push the lane but this is often not true. Pushing lane often makes laning easier but there are also times where keeping lane in place is the right move. There are 3 types of lanes and this is how to play them

It's easy to feel frustrated by dota because you're not in control with your bad teammates. Focusing on improvement instead of outcome on every game makes games way more fun and fulfilling and will lead to higher MMR in the long run. Improvement is fun.

Many people think they can play most of the heroes in dota. Chances are they don't truly understand the heroes properly. Knowing how to play a hero is not just about how to press the 4 buttons properly. It's knowing the matchups and when to pick it and understanding timings

Most people feel like a "passenger" when playing Dota. You do your part on lane and do your part in teamfights but it feels random if you win or lose Heres how you become a driver in your dota games.

Laningphase is overrated. Everyone has lost games where you stomp your lane but then die to 1-2 ganks and game goes bad real fast. We get overconfident and think we'll win the game and get lazy just because we won our lane. The moves after laningphase is what actually matters

The twin gates and roshan areas made the mid area less important. In the past mid area was the most important to control because all rotations has to go past mid area. Now you can just take twin gates and bypass mid area and there's way more options to rotate on the map.

This is one of the biggest mistakes carry players make. They have a perfect early game They freefarm for 20 minutes Then they take a fight and overestimate their strength because enemy carry also freefarmed for 20 minutes You get bursted in your first fight Now game is hard

The biggest reason people have losestreaks is because once you start losing a couple of games you start losing the mental game and you make wrong conclusions on what's making you lose or win. This can snowball very hard so you need to make conclusions with a sound mind ⬇️

One very big reason you might be inconsistent is because you don't play around item timings. You invest 7 minutes to farm BKB but then you decide to take a random fight your teammates started when you're 300 gold away from BKB. This makes your last 7 minutes of farming useless.

Teamfighting in dota is for the most part understanding who to cast spells on and finding the right timing to do so. Most heroes only has 4 spells, they're not difficult to click and cast. The skill lies in casting them at the right timing. Spellcasting that kills is high impact

Most people I coach think they’re bad at lasthitting and have a bad farming pattern but it’s often not true. Farming pattern isn't very difficult, it's just about hitting the closest creepwave/creepcamps. If we entered an empty lobby to farm we would have the same amount of farm

Playing Dota shouldn't be feeling like one long a game. The game is divided into when you want to farm for timing and when you're strong and want to fight. You're supposed to play more split in the early game to get farm/lvls and the later it goes the more you 5 man

Desperation leads to mistakes. The reason you get desperate is because you feel like you're getting outfarmed. The reason you're getting outfarmed is because you don't know how to play the map. This is how you play the map

Denies are overrated. Many of the people I coach overthink denies. They sometimes lose 400 hp to attempt a deny (that they might not even get). Not all denies are worth trying. Especially not the last creep of the wave. Focus on farming and making the right moves.
