UT at Austin is not even the most successful football team in their school system over the last five years. In the last 5 years UTA has recorded 38 wins, while UTSA has recorded 42. The Roadrunners carry the UT school system.
Congrats to the men's team, but let's not forget about how great of a comeback performance the Lady Raiders had today. Shavers had an incredible performance today with 25 points!
Grant Mccasland is doing one of the best coaching jobs in all of NCAA basketball. Think where this team was 12 months ago compared to what it is today. In one short year Grant Mccasland has put Tech back on track to not just compete, but to be one of the best teams in the BIG 12.
Men and women's basketball, and football are the main Tech sports I watch and the one thing they have in common is that they have coaches who are good hearted people first and foremost. You can see it reflected in the players they recruit and have on their teams.
I want to thank
@TheRaiderRiot
for inviting me to sit with them tonight! That was special to me, as I usually sit alone at the top. So thank you for welcoming me in and giving me a great experience! It was one to remember!
With what I thought we were gonna do in basketball compared to what we are doing, in my opinion we're playing with house money. I thought coach Mccasland would turn this team around, but I didn't expect it to be year one. What a great first half of the season it has been!
It feels weird to be back in Raiderland for my second semester. At the start of last semester I felt like I didn't belong, now it's almost like home to me! Now let's kick some Oklahoma butt!
I wish the Tech fan base would analyze their actions over the last 12 hours and ask themselves if they were a talented transfer athlete why they would come to Tech. Some of y'all are asshole who I would absolutely hate to play in front of and for.
Its crazy that we made this game close with how sick we are and completely missing our starting center. It sucks we hit this flu bug, but by the Big 12 tourney we should be healthy and ready for vengeance. I still believe in this team wholeheartedly, we just ran into an obstacle
I just want it to be shown tonight that I was one of the very few who stood up for Kyeron Lindsay and he went out there and got a reverse layup and block in one recorded minute
Remember it's okay to be upset about losing, but don't be an asshole and tweet the players cussing them out. Half the team has the flu and Warren was out. I guarantee whoever gets so upset to cuss players on social media can't even get up off their couch to go to the gym!
🚨2026 5⭐️ 6-0 G Bella Flemings (

) will be in town for an unofficial visit with
@LadyRaiderWBB
this weekend.
Flemings is currently 12th in the ESPN Class of 2026 rankings.
Grant Mccasland is such an incredible coach and it feels amazing that he really wants to be here and he's not using Tech as a stepping school like that one coach in Mississippi did.
If Jeff Traylor ends up at A&M who should be the next UTSA Head Coach? My pick would be Will Stein. He was a great OC and with what he is doing at Oregon he deserves a bump up in his role.
As bad as we've played today and being without Warren, there's no way the score should be this close. If we can get healthy before March Madness we can do some real damage.
I wish sports fans would maintain the expectation they had at the beginning of the season to the end of the season. If you told Tech fans at the beginning of the season we'd be 16-5, everybody would be happy. Today, everybody takes it for granted.
It's very strange how many Red Raider alumni hate to see the story dents having fun. How can you be upset that people are camping out? It's the last time we will ever play Texas, our rival. Like, of course people are going to camp out. I think it's almost a jealousy thing.
I know UTSA doesn’t have a lot of money, but what the runners have that others don’t is heart. If you’ve ever been to a UTSA game you have seen how passionate the fanbase is about the team. What are the odds Traylor fails and doesn’t find another home like he has at UTSA?
Can't even have a favorite player without people analyzing my tweet. So, here is a highlight tape of my favorite receiver in Tech history up until Micah signed, T.J. Vasher.
Isn't it funny how two months has changed the conversation from "people aren't showing up to the Tech basketball games, Shane on the students" to "Lubbock is one of the hardest places to play" maybe let's let the season play out next time before we shame the student body!
Joey McGuire is now tied for second place in number of bowl wins at Texas Tech. He shares the record with Dewitt Weaver and Spike Dykes. He is also the first Red Raiders football coach to win back to back bowl games in their first two seasons since Mike Leach.
I'd like to announce that my Twitter page will be taking a professional turn. While I know many of you enjoy my off the cuff humor and commentary, I am starting to make the turn from being an academic to a professional of my field and I must act like it.
Am I a loser? I went to Wal-Mart and I picked up a yellow onion that I intended to pay for. I got to the car with my groceries and noticed I didn't pay for it. I then walked back inside to pay for my single 56 cent yellow onion.
I don't have much people to talk to in Lubbock, but Colter Wall's music has kept me company here and I can't believe he's 20 yards from me. It's incredible! He's as good as advertised! HELL EVEN BETTER!
I need Tech and UTSA to play man. Not because I dislike Traylor or anything close to that. I just want to see two ol Texas boys in Traylor and Joey square off against each other.
Visited with

yesterday. We're still several weeks away from the start of spring ball, but don't tell him that. The work never stops.

Y'all will be hearing a lot about Madi, trust that! She is an incredible talent. The fact she fell that far in the draft is wild. She will make them pay!
OUR GOAT! Texas Tech’s all-time leader in career shutouts Madison White is headed to

Congrats

! 🫶 This interview says it all. Built for this. Go be you!
When did sports become about class? I've seen people call other teams classless. Isn't the goal of sports to beat your opponent so bad they never want to play again? What is classy about that? If you want class, go watch balet or tap dancing.
It seems as though I have poked the hornets nest. I'll always stand for the players, without them there would be no team to watch. They put in more work than any fan sitting on their couch yelling at the TV.
So today, Tech beat the short horns in baseball, won the track national championship, and beat number 11 in baseball. These are the type of days that make me hope one day football can become elite.
I have people on my timeline complaining about Micah Hudson being dropped on recruiting rankings since singing with tech. As a fan of the player I get it, but I will remind you to take a look at the two QB's in the Super Bowl. Rankings mean nothing!
