himself attempts to conquer the WIZARDS podcast by sitting in with
@TheMikeSchwartz

#DOOM
Commands it!
As discussed on our recent mini-episode, here's the Wizard magazine Casting Call for a live action
#TheSimpsons
movie in 1996. Cowabunga or Aye Caramba?

" and explanation of his new power set. What did you think of this costume change in 1997?
We are saddened by the news of the passing of Wizard magazine Editor-In-Chief, Pat McCallum. Our hearts go out to his family and all the Wizard Staffers who called him friend. He created a one of a kind clubhouse for comic book fans in the pages of Wizard. A true legacy.
Adam's biggest discovery while reading Bloodpool
#comics
for our recent mini-episode, was evidence that Rob Liefeld's infamous Heroes Reborn
#CaptainAmerica
drawing was just a repurposed pose from Liefeld's 1995 ad for T.H.U.N.D.E.R. Agents from Maximum Press 😲
Just for fun, here's an old
#xmen
Super Shooters action figure commercial from 1997 that we found on an old VHS tape featuring a live action
#wolverine
who's got a message for YOU, Bub!
We here at WIZARDS are saddened to hear about the passing of the immensely talented
@JohnCassaday
who contributed a lot to Wizard magazine over the years. Our condolences to his family and friends in the industry.
There was a lot of hype around the short-lived Charest/Lobdell Wildcats relaunch in 1999, with
@JimLee
calling Travis Charest “the Second Coming”. Are you happy with the few Charest draw issues that made it into your hands or is the “what could have been” too disappointing?
We'll be returning to our regularly scheduled Wizard magazine coverage this Wednesday with our exploration of issue 72. Did you have the
@JoeMadx
#xmen
cover or the

vs

by Mike Wieringo back in '97?

#xmen
Special featured two interesting sidebars about the upcoming live action film. The first detailed the contenders for who would play Marvel's mutants and the other tracked the various scripts that had been written over the years. What do you think?
In issue 71, Wizard had comics pros like Mike Wieringo, Steven Hughes and
@RealJimBalent
bring their ideas for Amalgam characters to life. Combining
#Wolverine
with Kid Flash is a terrible idea (and design), but the
#Spawn
/
#WonderWoman
mash-up is killer. Hell's Angel? Come on! 😄
The highlight of Wizard 92 was
@ThatKevinSmith
creating a Casting Call for his unproduced Superman Lives script, wherein his friends were given roles and some snark was thrown at producer Jon Peters 😄(1/2)
Wizard 85 featured an art tutorial from the king of bulky frames, Dale Keown, about how to draw proportions which featured
#CaptainAmerica
#SpiderMan
and
#Wolverine
in a lineup. A fun trio! (1/2)
Sad news for the podcast today. WIZARDS would not exist if not for the generosity of Jason Gross, one of the co-founders of The Retro Network, who passed away suddenly this week. Our hearts go out to his friends and family during this time. We will truly miss him.
