The day after Boris ivited 100 staff to his garden I wished my dad a happy 60th through his bedroom window.
He died 5 weeks later.
I might sound a bit like a broken record on this, but I honestly could not be more angry.
EXCL: Email obtained by
@itvnews
proves over 100 staff were invited to drinks party in No 10 garden at height of lockdown to “make the most of the lovely weather”.
We’re told PM and his wife attended, with staff invited to “bring your own booze!”
@thetyronwilson
In a pub where I grew up at the weekemd and one person said pensioners have never had it worse, and literally everyone agreed with them.
I was absolutely shut down for not agreeing.
4 years ago today my dad died of lung cancer. I'd spent 4 months not being able to see him, except his 60th birthday where I went to see him through a window.
That day the Tories had a party at Downing Street.
I will never forget and I hope voters don't today.
Vote Labour.
This morning our community stood against intolerance, hatred and homophobia.
Couldn't be more proud to stand up for our shared Lewisham values.
Fascists are not welcome in our Borough!
This year's John Lewis ad was filmed on my Lewisham street.
It's a wonderful advert that highlights the number of children in care and the fantastic work of foster parents.
In Lewisham we have so many amazing Foster carers but we always need more:
The Honor Oak is bursting with families enjoying their Saturday afternoon, listening to local artists.
Normal service resumes in Lewisham, where love triumphs over hate.
Lewisham Momentum members losing their shit because some people have pointed out they've turned our CLP in to a toxic hell hole is pretty interesting.
So sorry we turned out in our hundreds to tell you what we thought this week.
4 months ago I volunteered to be the agent for 21 Labour candidates in Lewisham Deptford. After 16 weeks of pretty intense work I have just handed in 21 sets of expenses, we have 21 Labour councillors and so far no arrests have been made.
Now for a few weekends boozing.
This morning I paid off my last bit of credit card debt, which had amounted to over 10000 after moving to london and working in low paid jobs.
This means I'm officially debt free for the first time as an adult.
I am extremely humbled to have been asked to serve as Cabinet member for Housing Management and Homelessness on Lewisham Council.
It's a crucial time for housing across Lewisham and London and I will be working hard to ensure all our residents have a safe and secure home.
Me and Ellie were the first two in the Batley campaign office this morning at 5:30.
First morning round nearly complete for the amazing
@kimleadbeater

As someone in the Labour Party who is actually from a working class background and has two parents who are paid the minimum wage. I find it staggering people who are now in Labour can be proud they didn't vote for the party in 2015.
Today for my 30th birthday, and my second on a full lockdown, I will be watching all three directors cuts of Lord of the Rings in a row and ordering every meal as a takeaway.
Truly LIVING.
Hi, if you’re kicking off about
@BorisJohnson
closing Parliament - perhaps you can tell me why you haven’t said the same every other year ever?
2016 - 15th Sept to 10th Oct
2017 - 14th Sept to 9th Oct
2018 - 13th Sept to 9th Oct
2019 - 9th Sept to 14th Oct
Hypocrites, maybe?
I am overjoyed and humbled to have been elected to represent Evelyn ward on Lewisham Council.
I love Evelyn and I love Lewisham.
Alongside the amazing
@tamhauyu
and Rudi Schmidt I promise we will work together to represent the North of our borough the best we can.
I am absolutely delighted to have been selected by Evelyn Labour to be their candidate in the upcoming Lewisham Council elections. Alongside the great
@tamhauyu
and Rudi Schmidt.
I love Lewisham and I love Evelyn and I'm so excited to get on the campaign trail! ❤️🌹❤️
The No Outsiders programme Shabana is referencing here literally just let's children know LGBT families and relationships EXIST. That is it.
She should be ashamed.
It’s vital that schools follow the guidance for teaching
#RSE
, with parental engagement and proper consideration for pupils’ religion and background. Yesterday, I made this clear to Education ministers in response to a petition signed by 1,763

constituents.
When I worked for an MP I took a call where somebody said they were going to kill her and us, her office staff. Two weeks after Jo Cox was murdered.
It ended up in court. Unfortunately my word against theirs wasn't strong enough and they got away with it.
It's not rare.
Did not have emergency surgery to remove my appendix on my Christmas wish list this year, but here we are.
Huge thanks to the amazing dedicated staff at
@LG_NHS
who, from me turning up in severe pain to a&e, to my care on the ward, have been incredible!
Today I finally finished my year on the Novavax vaccine trial, having had my blood antibodies tested 6 times after taking the unregistered vaccine.
Novavax is thankfully now up for approval!
Kings NHS have been amazing and they eveb treated me to a cheeky registered vaccine!
Very pleasantly surprised to come out for lunch and the EU flag has been raised outside
@LewishamCouncil
.
We are a sanctuary borough for migrants and every EU citizen is welcome here.
A reminder that the boundary commission should be based on population and not the electoral roll.
Individual voter reg has seen 1000s drop off the register and the electoral roll is not representative of large, transient, inner-city populations.
Put simply, its gerrymandering.

@lisanandy
"The Green Revolution has to also mean better buses in Bassetlaw."
Hitting the nail on the head when it comes to making radical Labour policies desirable and relevant to everyone around the UK.
Fantastic to see this, this policy will make a monumental difference to families in Evelyn, Lewisham and across London.
@MayorofLondon
showing what Labour can do in power.
The most concerning thing about the Chris Williamson clip is the he could go to any CLP in the country and get a room full of members who would have cheered what he said.
That is how deep rooted our problem is.
Always a pleasure to see off fascists in Honor Oak.
Good to he joined by so many
@lewishamlabour
cllrs, members of the community and great to hear from our MP
@vickyfoxcroft
.
Lewisham is diverse, welcoming and tolerant and we are going to keep it that way.
Me and Ellie were the first two in the Batley campaign office this morning at 5:30.

Some personal news!
Today is my last day working at
@lewishamhomes
after nearly 3 years in the amazing Community Relations Team.
I am moving on to be Service Manager at
@CAW_Lewisham
- Very excited for this new opportunity to help and enhance our wonderful Lewisham community.
Absolutely thrilled to have been elected Secretary of Ladywell Labour tonight alongside
@LauraLewisham
as Chair.
So many new and energetic delegates too, going to be a good year!
170 packed lunches off to Holbeach, Haseltine and Adamsrill from Place Ladywell
@lewishamlocal
- day one complete.
Great day on the
@LewishamMayores
campaign to feed as many of Lewisham's FSM children as possible.
Final advice surgery completed for
@vickyfoxcroft
- God knows how many hours I've sat in freezing cold church halls and community centres over the last 4 and a half years.
All worth it though!
Brockley Labour round off a 7/7 clean sweep of wards for our amazing MP
@vickyfoxcroft
- a resounding 63-20 despite efforts against her.
Proud Lewisham Deptford member tonight!
Absolutely delighted for
@SamanthaLatouc5
who has just won the New Cross by-election with over 3000 votes, more than 60% of the vote.
It's been a privilege to be her agent over the last 6 weeks and I know she'll be an amazing Cllr 🌹❤🌹
Four weeks ago when we sat down and decided to try and feed as many free school meals students in Lewisham, I had no idea we would manage get 5160 lunches out to families across the borough.
What an achievement in such a short space of time.
#ENDCHILDFOODPOVERTY
What an incredible week it’s been!! We’ve given out over 5000 meals this week! Thanking everyone who has given to help make this happen! You are all heroes! 🥰🥰
Absolutely thrilled to have been unblinded at on the Novavax vaccine trial I volunteered for late last year.
I found out I was one of the first to receive the vaccine and not a placebo!
Shout out to the amazing clinical trial staff at Kings. I am smiling under the mask.
Pride is a protest, and after a horrible year for our trans siblings it was so important to stand together as a community today at
#TransPride
No LGB without the T.
I've just had my first dose in the Kings College COVID vaccine trial. It's super easy and (relatively pain free).
Glad to have done a small thing to help beat COVID.
They need more South London volunteers so sign up if you want to help out!
Fab to welcome Sadiq back to Lewisham today.
On Thursday, we have a chance to contine to deliver leading green policies, free school meals and more council housing!
Vote Labour May 2nd!
The Tories have changed the voting system to make it easier for them to win. Londoners now only get one vote for mayor.
Good to be back in Lewisham speaking to Londoners about the choice: my positive vision or the hard-right Tory candidate.

Could not be prouder of the work we've done in the
@vickyfoxcroft
Casework Team this year - we've dealt with 1897 individual cases and processed 8691 enquiries from constituents. Community politics is based in casework and we'll be back in 2018 helping Lewisham Deptford!
My dad died this year and my mum is on her own for her first christmas ever.
The only thing getting her through is the promise she be able to spend Christmas week with us.
To now tell us we cant do that would be pretty disgusting and unbelievable.
Pleasure to join our community, other cllrs, Deputy Mayor
@Brenda_Dacres
and MP
@vickyfoxcroft
once again defending a family pub in Honor Oak.
Intolerance, bigotry and hate won't work here in Lewisham and we will be back every time it rears its ugly head.
Finished planting 6 apple trees in the new 20 tree orchard on the Honor Oak estate this morning, then this afternoon helped do the admin for hundreds more covid vaccines at the Waldron.
Felt busy for the first time in ages!
So, after 4.5 years of working for
@vickyfoxcroft
- I am today officially leaving the office.
It's been the most amazing experience of my life and I am extremely grateful to have been given the chance to try and make a difference.
Here are a few of my favourite moments.
Great to see the section of Cycle Superhighway 4 open from Surrey Quays, through Evelyn, in to Greenwich.
Huge numbers already using this new segregated cycle path.
Build good cycle infrastructure and more will come!
What a morning with one of our fantastic
@LewishamCouncil
refuse teams in Blackheath.
Our refuse workers provide a great and efficient service every day across the Borough. I can only hope I didn't slow them down too much!
Really enjoyed reading this thread by one of the many, many hardworking staff working for a
@LondonLabour
MP in Parliament. Wishing you all the best in the new role Will!
#KhanYouDigIt
We are taking action to tackle empty homes in our borough to bring them back in to use.
Empty homes across Lewisham attract dumping and can provide much-needed accommodation, we are ensuring we do as much as possible to clamp down on them.
🏚️ Empty homes which could provide much-needed housing attract waste and fly-tipping
✅ We've taken enforcement action to clear this abandoned property in New Cross and board it up to prevent dumping
📑 We're now taking legal action to seek possession and bring it back into use
Big personal news - After almost five years in Team Foxcroft I am moving over to Lewisham Homes in a few weeks to work in their Community Outreach Team!
Excited to move in to social housing although very sad to be leaving Tanners Hill.
Words cannot describe how devastated I am today, but one bright point last night was the incredible
@vickyfoxcroft
being re-elected in Lewisham Deptfordwith almost 40000 votes.
One thing is for sure, she won't let down our community in the face of five more years of Tory rule.
We challenged our rent rise over incomplete repairs and the landlord has just backed down. I'm thrilled.
Don't be scared to challenge your landlord. Don't pay them more money for nothing.
Brenda has been an incredible friend ever since I first met her campaigning in Lewisham in 2013.
I'm so proud to this year have chaired her selection campaign and be agent in this Mayoral election.
Nobody works harder and is more dedicated to our borough.
I want to thank the people of Lewisham for placing their faith in me. Serving this special borough that I have the privilege to call home is the greatest honour of my life. I pledge to work tirelessly for you, and will always have your best interests at heart.
Managed to not have a nervous breakdown when my dad died and my mum and boyfriend lost their jobs all in the space of 6 weeks, during a national lockdown.
Brenda isn't just a fantastic and compassionate leader, she lives and breathes our borough.
I'm backing her to be the innovative and forward thinking Mayor we need.
Lewisham made me who I am today. Now, I’m proud to announce that I’m standing to be our next Labour Mayor.
It’s been a honour to serve as your Deputy Mayor for the last two years, but I know how much more needs to be done to give everyone in our community the life they deserve.
Honored to be at the launch of the New Cross Fire exhibition at
@GoldsmithsUoL
, so important to keep telling the story of those who died.
Amazing performances by the children from
@Ggibbonsps
and
@lucasvaleps
Who are leading the way in their remembrance of the 13 who died.
We have declared the Greenwich and Lewisham constituency votes for the Mayor of London:
KHAN Sadiq (Lab) 83,792
HALL Susan Mary (Con) 36,822
GARBETT Zoe (Green) 11,209

Honored to welcome 40 new British citizens to Lewisham today at their cutizenship ceremony.
I spoke about the importance of diversity and community and our boroughs history of welcoming people from all over the world.
Delighted that Ladywell Labour has tonight voted resoundingly to re-select
@damienegan
as our candidate for Mayor of Lewisham, with over 80% of the vote.
On to the election trail!
Finally saying goodbye to Florence Road and Brockley Labour today after 7 long years.
On to new beginnings ten minutes walk away in Ladywell.
Been a pleasure.
Leaving Stevenage this morning, as a fully Labour Town.
An amazing place where
@StevenageLabour
have made me feel so at home.
I know
@kevinbonavia
will be such an incredible representative for the town.
Now, to travel through 4 new Labour constituencies home!
Yesterday we lost my lovely grandad, the last of my grandparents.
Chairman of the working men's club, captain of Gomshall B darts team and Bacardi and coke drinker and all round legend.
Not really sure what to say at this point of the last year, but it's been pretty horrific.
Lewisham Labour were out in force today in Pimlico campaigning for the brilliant
@RNBlake
to be the next MP for Cities of London and Westminster.
Labour won the council last year and we'll be fighting for Rachel to be the MP at the General Election. 🌹
One year since I lost my dad today.
He was a total idiot and I loved him very much.
I hope somewhere, somehow, he watched England batter Ukraine last night x
