🔥🔥Really excited to finally launch the 2024 Read & Reaction Gators Preview Magazine! Check it out here! 2024 Read & Reaction Magazine: Florida Gators Football Preseason Preview (digital option available on our website)
In a world where every QB transfers when he doesn't win the job, Kyle Trask just went out and played an almost perfect fourth quarter to lead the Gators to a win.
Mullen put the game plan on Franks and he responded. He accounted for 300 total yards today, the most of his career. Combine that with 3 TDs, no INTs, no fumbles and a YAR of 1.86 and this was -- by far -- his best game as a Gator.
Fun day of football. Remember, your favorite team lost on the road to a guy who may win the Heisman. UGA lost to Muschamp at home against a 3rd string QB.
AR touched the ball once in the 2H. If you want EJ to start, fine (I disagree, but whatever). But to not have your most explosive player get touches when you score 13 is inexcusable.
Gotta be honest, this Rose Bowl is getting me excited for next year’s opener vs Utah. We will learn so much more about the Gators than we would in an easy win over a cupcake like Towson, TN Martin or Florida State.
Even in an L, that one was fun. Florida outgained Bama 440-331. Difference was the INT by Jones, the dropped INT from Cox and obv the missed extra point. No moral victories in the SEC, but a really good, well played game.
Florida wins the State Championship with a 40-17 demolishion of FSU. It wasn't even that close, and Mullen wins his 20th game in two years at UF with an opportunity to get to 21 in a month.
Just an absolute monster performance from Mertz. 14 yards per completion and went downfield when he had the opportunities. 10 explosives for the Gators and 8 through the air.
Just want to say how much I appreciate everyone who listens to
@GatorsBreakdown
and reads my site. I have a 50+ hour a week day job, 3 kids and a wife who allows me to do this stuff in my “free time”. It’s not easy, but you all make it worth it. Thanks!
I hate Michigan (grew up in Indiana). I typically root for the SEC to do well. But I’ll be damned if I’m rooting for a team with fans that bark at me. Go Big Blue!

Hey
@GatorDave_SEC
, we have a commit (2039 recruiting class)! Judging by his father’s size and the way he eats, either LT or DE. Also, he likes the white helmets 😀
Feel like I’m 8 years old, waited all Christmas Eve thinking I was going to get a really cool train set and woke up to a homemade sweater from Grandma.
“We just want the big boys to play us.”
“Top ten teams shouldn’t have to schedule 2-for-1’s”.
It’s pretty simple. Florida has all the leverage and shouldn’t give up home game revenue to help its whiny little brother. Schedule it or shush.
I’m about as pro vaccine as they get. My 12-year old gets her 2nd dose of Pfizer tomorrow. But OSHA mandating it through employers and with executive pressure is tyrannical bullshit.
Feel for Corral, but the “opt out’s don’t love the game” BS needs to stop. Lincoln Riley opted out. So did Brian Kelly and Billy Napier. Hell, Dan Mullen opted out of the Cotton Bowl last year.
An observation from 2019 in the context of yesterday’s game. 2019 Trask has been much better than 2018 Burrow was and has a similar accuracy profile. It’s entirely possible that the jump we’re seeing from Burrow is one Trask will be able to take next year.
I hate that the federal government is so powerful that I give a damn about elections in Georgia. I mean, we’re trusting the future of our country to people still living in 1980.
Ironic that Manny Diaz talks about the rebuild job he has after losing to GT. That’s the same GT team that was beaten 24-2 by the Temple team he abandoned to take the Miami job.
My 8-year old was watching the game on the DVR when I came downstairs today. I stood back and watched as he kept rewinding a play. Finally, I asked what he was looking for. He said he wants to replicate Jaydon Hill’s celebration when he breaks up a pass in his game this week 😂
AR had 5 explosives in 26 touches against LSU. 2 in 29 touches for EJ. AR now has 13 explosives in 65 touches this year (1 every 5 touches) compared to 20 in 260 touches for EJ (1 every 13 touches).

Only in CFB do the highs and lows of the emotional roller coaster go from “I’m worried about our defense against Mizzou” to “bring on Georgia” in the span of 3 hours 😂
I get fans being frustrated, but Billy Donovan had a .677 win % in his first 9 seasons at Florida. Mike White is at .657 after 3. Donovan was a young coach who was able to make mistakes and grow on the job. White deserves the same.
153rd ranked nationally, 20th ranked DL out of Thomaston, GA. Florida's class now has 4/9 commits in the top-300 and an average player rating of 90.06.
FSU was outgained 438-288, averaged 4.4 yards per pass and had 3 turnovers. Lucky they played a freshman QB who made mistakes in the first half because those are stats that usually end up in a 35-13 loss.
