Interesting observation since last night. Former Gamecock Players under Spurrier are vocal that there should be higher expectations for the Gamecock program. Players under Muschamp seem to think wins 6-7 wins are the right expectation based on tweets/retweets I’ve seen

4-Star WR Jordan Mosley has decommitted from Tennessee per a Twitter release. Gamecocks are a factor ..... if Gamecocks could reel him in plus maybe a certain current Vol WR from Dutch Fork ..... the WR group could be a lot faster in 2021.

Guys like Chris Steele, Jammie Robinson, Xavier Legette, etc are big recruits, but IMO convincing Javon Kinlaw, Bryan Edwards and Donnell Stanley to come back to SC in 2019 is recruiting mission #1 for Muschamp in December.

I will be very interested to see how G.G. Jackson responds to Coach Paris. On the surface, it would seem like a great fit to stay home & build with the new coach. Landing G.G. immediately would be on the same level as Beamer landing Spencer Rattler back in December.

South Carolina is 16-0 this season when holding opponents under 70 points. Tennessee is 1-2 when held under 70 pts (only win vs Tarleton St.). Just something to keep in mind as we head toward half.

For the record, I think Shane Beamer is a very good hire for the Gamecocks. There is no 100%, sure fire candidate.... but Beamer arrives w/knowledge of the Gamecock program & obstacles that it has. Maybe this turns out to just be another awful take. But I think it’s a good hire.

Wherever South Carolina ends up today, Jacksonville, Tampa or Orlando, remember that 21 days ago, many were ready to burn the program down. Back to back top 10 wins, a current Top 15 recruiting class and being State Champs, the Gamecocks have a ton of momentum.

Whether it’s Beamer or Napier (I believe it will be one of the two) I think offensively, the OC should be Bobo or Bobby Bentley & Connor Shaw is an on field coach (not sure what position) w/recruiting responsibilities. Make it happen.

Listening to Shane Beamer on Marty & McGee, one thing that is impressive ... Shane’s willingness to seek advice & talk w/other HCs. Most new HCs are stubborn, don’t want help, want to prove why they got the job. I like Beamer is using all his resources in building his program

Gamecocks with a fantastic comeback victory over Florida for victory #24 on the season. That ties the all time record for regular season wins with the 2015-16 team (who did not make the NCAA Tournament). What a season by Lamont Paris and this group of Gamecocks.

Gamecock coaches Lonnie Teasley & Greg Adkins deserve A LOT of credit for the trench work recruiting taking place. 4-stars Markee Anderson, Big Tree Babalade, Trovon Baugh in this class, now Pringle and maybe a few others in 2024. Gamecocks really building a great OLine.

My South Carolina football staff thought ..... I thought Muschamp hired a home run staff when he arrived. TRob, Lance Thompson, Bentley, BMac + Muschamp as recruiter/defensive mind .... we see how that turned out. I’m just going to be patient and see what happens this time.

I get the SEC schedule is tough, but I see Georgia, Florida, Tennessee and now Vandy scheduling solid OOC games. The neutral site games have run their course .... home and homes are what needs to be schedule and not with ECU or AppState.
