Yes, Monte Babb finished last yesterday - technically the gator DNF'd. However, Monte recorded a new lifetime best of 31:20, nearly 4 minutes better than his previous best and 6:29 faster than last year on the same course and he kicked in the last 200m. #WesternXC #Consistency

In our meet at West Lafayette last night Tyler Gilbert had two 170+ foot throws in the discus. His winning throw of 176' 7" is only 10" off the school record and is the best in the state by over 6 feet.

Here's a thought: how about we quit scoring mid-week dual meets? Gets coaches to start thinking "big picture" rather than racking up bogus won-loss records. Keeps us from over-racing our kids. Colleges have been doing this for a long time. Focus on what matters.

On his last lap in the sectional 3200 meter run Friday night, Joseph Packard clocked 1:12.7. It was the fastest single lap of EVERYONE in the race and secured 2nd place behind his teammate. A year ago he placed 9th.

Our best team performance since the 2020 New Prairie Semi State. Our Boys placed 13th out of 25 teams at the Brownsburg regional despite only being ranked 16th. (The rankings favor mega-large, Indy-area schools.) It was the first time we had three runners under 17:00 since 2008.

Brayden Curnutt & Joseph Packard turned in a couple standout performances in the 3200 meter run today at the Warsaw Tiger Showcase. Curnutt's 9:49.4 is close to his PR. JP's 10:12 blows away his previous personal best by about 19 sec. Waiting on official results to be posted.
