Unit 731 commanders Shiro Ishii and Masaji Kintano, supposedly both held the rank of Lieutenant General, yet their shoulder and collar tabs show only one star, that of a private second class. Reverse image searching showed that both these images originated from China in 2008.

I found the blade I was looking for! A Japanese military sword on display in a Chinese museum. It it is being touted as bloodstained, and having being used during the "Nanking Massacre" in November 1937....however the blade is dated August 1938!

These four images all came from the same war time album. They show a religious building, (orphanage perhaps?) Chinese children, a priest and Japanese soldiers. The Japanese soldier standing with the child, is the same soldier with the priest. Only good intentions shown here.

Textiles don't lie, rare kimono fabric showing Mainichi Shimbun newspaper reports of the Mukden Incident. The Chinese bombing of the South Manchurian Railway at 11:00 pm on the 18th. Sept. 1931. China blames Japan, but their actions trigger the Japanese occupation of Manchuria.

Notice the brass button on the butt of the rifle. It is a brass unit identification disc used on British Lee Enfield rifles, it is not used on the Japanese Arisaka rifle. The scene is either fabricated, or it is a 'still' image from a very low budget war movie.

On the 2-3 May 1928, to avoid conflict with NRA, Japanese troops left Jinan. The security of the city was entrusted to Chiang-kai-shek, but undisciplined NRA managed to butcher many Japanese civilians. This had a domino effect that would lead to the occupation of Manchuria.

Japanese soldiers would carry a good luck flag into battle for spiritual protection against enemy bombs and bullets. The flag could be wrapped around the waist or tied to the end of a rifle. China never had good luck flags, which explains why they lost the Sino-Japanese War.

The Chinese said that these men were bound with ropes and killed by Japanese soldiers using machine guns, machetes, and grenades. However, if you watch Magee's film closely, you will see that the men are wearing Red Cross armbands and are actually assisting the Japanese soldiers.

Anti-Japanese group 'Alliance for Preserving the Truth of Sino-Japanese War' (Global Alliance) helped spread the lies further. Some websites picked the image up described it as Nanking Massacre, whilst others described it as Unit 731. No one described it as victims of Hiroshima.

I have a large, highly detailed world map, hand drawn by Japanese schoolchildren, no doubt a class project because of its size. This map, more than eighty years old, shows no Chinese Nine-Dash-Line, it appears this children's map is far more accurate than the CCP's forgery.

I find it extremely difficult to believe that highly trained Japanese pilots would drop bombs on a Shanghai railway station knowing it was filled with people fleeing the city, including many Japanese. They would not bomb a civilian target on purpose.

My collection. Kimono fabric showing the 1936 Berlin Olympics. Son Kitei a Korean nationalist won the marathon but was representing Greater Japan. Great Britain's Ernest Harper came second, but the Union Jack has been placed last. Finnish runners nos. 167 & 166 came in 4th & 5th.

This is one of my favorite items, it is a Japanese signed good luck flag sewn inside a padded waste jacket. I found it in Japan. It means that the flag protected the soldier and brought him safely back home! How can you place a value on an heirloom piece like this?

A pity I had to cut my trip to Japan, but these typhoons are so unpredictable. I wanted to visit the Todai-ji Temple and pay my respects to the big boss, but it did not happen. Not to worry, I have a very beautiful and large Momoyama Buddha that I picked up on a previous visit.
