I may be off here for awhile, my beautiful wife passed away this evening at 6:48. I was with her as she took her last breath. I'm devastated, but with time, I'll be okay.

My grandfather, Willis Moody, 4th from the right, at the age of 20. Second from the right is Cumberland Posey, the only athlete in the MLB Hall of Fame and the Basketball Hall of Fame. My grandfather replaced "Cum" Posey as the center fielder for the Grays.

Willie Mays is 91. Greatest ballplayer I ever saw play. He could have played in Pittsburgh with Clemente. Piper Davis, manager of the Birmingham Black Barons, wanted to sell Mays to the Pirates for $2400. The Pirates turned it down. They wanted him to pitch.

Thanks for everyone's concern. Had an accident where I broke my nose in two places, and got 6 stitches. Had a slight brain bleed which is no longer a problem and I'm receiving physical therapy for 10 days. So I'll be back full time soon, to irritate on a daily basis.

The doctors said Fetterman has no cognitive problems, he has temporary problems with hearing and speech, which will go away. I'm proud he stood up there and gave it a go. Shows me the determination and passion he has for the position. He's one of us. Kudos.

Kenesaw Mountain Landis was a racist. He tried to keep Larry Doby out of Major League Baseball. Bill Veeck, the owner of the Cleveland Indians, wasn't having it. He signed Doby and the rest is history. Rename the best player award after Josh Gibson.

Went to a baseball game. Sitting a few seats from me was a guy with a laptop, spouting stats and launch angles. Just constantly on his laptop. Player hit a homerun, he looked up and said, "What happened?" Just watch the game and enjoy baseball, ya dope ya.
