WE HAVE DONE IT.
70+ miles walked, over £1500 raised and thousands of aches and pains accumulated🤣
Thanks everyone for the support. Special mention to
@Thehullboy1
for joining us on the final stretch.
#benandcharlieswalk
In 2010, Scunthorpe United were in the Championship and
@hashtagutd
was just a 6-aside team.
With the Iron’s relegation and Hashtag’s promotion, there will be one level between the two.
Crazy.
Dear
@Thehullboy1
, your work running for mental health has been nothing short of inspirational the past few months.
I am inviting you to run the last 5km of mine &
@BALockyer03
’s 75 mile charity walk with us on Sunday the 19th of May in Hull.
My DMs are open🙏🏻
Come across this story last night that I thought needed sharing on here. Hope you don’t mind me posting
@josh_seward
.
Must be one of kindest gestures I’ve seen. Jeff King. What a guy💙 just take a read of this
What a picture this is. This man deserves every bit of this. Stuck by us in January 2021 and breathed positivity during a really uncertain period.
Thank you Webby💙
The man that believed in him at Ipswich, the man who brought him with him to this football club, and he never let’s him down.
A heartwarming moment between Cook and Dobra, who ran straight to his manager after his goal. Let’s win this league next season.
#Spireites
From what I’m being told and reading looks like he is off.
What an absolute pleasure it has been to see him in a
#Spireites
shirt, such a nice guy and natural goalscorer. Really hope he kicks on.
He’s been so respectful to the club through this saga as well - worth noting.
@GilbertDurinho
Been in the sport a long time, think he deserves a little more respect than that. All he’s doing is stating his opinion. Come on Gilbert, no need.
Saturday is a massive game, but it’s also a great story about two clubs that bounced back from poor ownership, double relegations, and fear of losing their football club.
Fast forward 5,6 years, and both have great owners, managers and high attendances.

#Notts
Laurence Maguire gets Chesterfield FC he always has. Always signed new deals that were put to him, always been professional when not playing.
However, the one thing I’ll always remember, is seeing him in tears after Forest Green away, when the club was relegated. A proper blue
I’m told negotiations are now ongoing for the transfer of Kabongo Tshimanga between
#Spireites
and
#BCFC
.
The club ideally do not want to sell but have a price.
The player is more than happy after the support he received during his injury but has aspirations of playing higher.

I thought his future at the club was done after Bromley away last year.
He’s been a fantastic professional all-season, a great teammate and took his chance the last couple of games.
Our longest serving player at the club. One of our own. Laurence Maguire💙
I’ve always wanted to share this message. Now seems like an appropriate time.
Proper captain material and a vital piece of the puzzle at this football club. Fully deserved extension👏🏻

We are delighted to announce that Jamie Grimes has signed a contract extension, committing himself to the club until the summer of 2025!

Just been doing a bit of YouTube scrolling, and thought I’d rewatch Ian Evatt’s post-match after our last game in the FL.
Absolutely love Evo and his honesty. This segment alone shows it.💙
A true club legend. Glad he’s doing well at
#BWFC
.
There’s something heartwarming about this picture.
When Cook arrived back at the club again, one of the key takeaways was he has been unhappy for last 18 months in football, and wanted to be back at a club he felt loved at, and one he enjoyed being at.
Great to see

Fair play to Wrexham. Obviously spent a lot of money to get out this league, and not everyone’s favourite team, but the die hard fans have been through a lot, and they deserve this.
Happy birthday to the gaffer. Embodies what Chesterfield is all about.
Results are difficult at the amount but no doubt in my mind he’ll turn it round.

Just to confirm,
#Spireites
have agreed terms with Eastleigh for the transfer of Tom Whelan. He is back.
Providing anything unseen it should be announced tomorrow. First reported in Kop Choir.
I apologised to Jamie Grimes privately earlier this year, after publically criticising him and citing him at fault for some defeats.
He's really made me eat my words this year, a leader on the pitch and a great guy off it. Every single minute of this league campaign. Captain🫡
My best Danny Rowe memory is yesterday. Not one you’d expect.
Khan kept getting his ankles clipped by one of Halifax’s midfielders, the last time he did it, Rowe came from behind him and hit him with a right tackle back.
Proper teammate. He’ll be back 💙
“It would be the proudest day of my life to take this club back in the Football League” - Paul Cook.
Tough one to take today but we’re in this together. Paul Cook’s Barmy Army👏🏻💙
Some personal news, I am delighted to have accepted a job at That’s TV Manchester.
I’ll be working in media city full time Monday to Friday. After all the years of sacrifice and hard work I’m over the moon it has paid off.
Looking forward to doing what I love every day. 👍🏻
Just seen a post of Jeff King and Ryan Colclough visiting an unwell older fan.
Really incredible gesture. We have some amazing footballers at our football club but even better human beings.

's Jeff King was absent from today’s matchday squad as his mother sadly passed away this week.
Our thoughts are with Jeff and his family at this difficult time. ❤️

legend in my eyes. Stuck with us through all the lows, took a pay cut last season, gave his all week in week out, connected with the fans.
You’ll be missed,
@joerowley06
💙
Well what a great surprise this Monday morning.
It was my birthday last Sunday, and I was away in Italy for it.
My very kind work colleagues paid for a cameo from Tim Akinola, and sent it me this morning.
What a great gift and message. Take a look. 🫶🏻
Big big credit to this man also today.
Must not have been easy not playing a single minute all season, transfer listed and sort of forgotten about to most.
Thought he put a great stamp on the game and got a great assist for “Bubba”😂🔵
Well done, Calvin👏🏻
Going into the game West Brom were 1 point off the play-offs, and won their last 8 out of 9.
Paul Cook’s
#Spireites
took them to the limit. Be loud and be proud. Bring on the Hawthornes.
Four years ago,
#Spireites
said goodbye to one of the club’s greatest ever goalkeepers,
@tommyeddylee
in his testimonial match.
A terrific goalkeeper and a man who defines loyalty.
Really enjoyed chatting to Danny Webb this morning.
With the three year anniversary of
#Orient
’s promotion to the football league, a couple days ago.
I asked Danny about that title winning season and the late Justin Edinburgh.
Touch of class answer from a classy human.
“This is our town”
Another important clip I wanted to share after the video of Cookie’s “confrontation” with a fan yesterday.
The man may not always get it right (who does) but he gets Chesterfield Football Club, and plays football the right way.
Final push 🍪
#Spireites
One of the best turnarounds I’ve seen as a footballer supporter.
He has helped create some special moments at this football club.
Great sing song we had to Whitney Houston as well 🤣
📝 We can confirm that Joe Quigley has left the club to join National League side Forest Green Rovers on a permanent deal for an undisclosed fee.
We would like to thank Joe for all his efforts during his time at the club.
Go smash it, Quigs! 💪
#Spireites
Congratulations to Notts County. Ultimately I believed we were the better side today, but the best teams find a way to win no matter what.
They’ll be a force in the division above next season. All the best. We will bounce back.
One of the best days as a fan of this club was seeing this man return.
Despite the recent run of form, and atmosphere amongst some fans, he wants the best for this football club. Trust the project. Trust Cook.

One year ago I was at Sheffield College learning the NCTJ qualification, begging for my first chance.
Today I spent 3 hours at the House of Commons talking and mingling with industry professionals.
Not bad for a 19-year-old from Chesterfield.
The board have done an exceptional job this window so far. They have fully backed Cook and secured his first choice options in recruitment, which for me is key.
#Spireites
I am quick to jump on referees after they do a bad job, but I can honestky the say the ref we had yesterday was top notch. Let the game flow and didn’t make it about himself.
