We just found a 1958 article mentioning district “growing pains” with 2,679 pupils, 18 buses & 90 teachers. Today, we have more than 15,000 students, 116 buses/24 vans for transportation, and more than 1,600 full-time equivalent staff. Even 61 years ago, WCSD was the place to be!
