I am standing as an independent candidate for the people of Edgbaston.
As your MP, I will be a voice for Peace, Justice & equality.

Together we can make a difference
Just a few weeks ago I decided to stand as independent candidate in Edgbaston on issues that I believe are important. Out canvassing I've seen that there is still hope in communities & also that Edgbaston deserves better. Vote for me to be your local advocate in Parliament.
Today we celebrate the
#Windrush
pioneers who played such a significant part in rebuilding post-war Britain. This was also the year when the NHS was launched & their role in that cannot be overstated. We must keep fighting for justice for victims of the Windrush scandal.
While out canvassing we are hearing from lots of people expressing frustration at the direction that politics has been going and would consider voting for me on July 4th. Remember, vote independent, vote Dr Ammar.

The last few days have been busy as I continue to get out & about in Edgbaston to meet as many people as possible. Thank you for the time you have taken to share your frustrations & aspirations with me. I hear you. Elect me on July 4th to be your voice in Parliament.

It was great to meet new supporters at Ammar HQ on Harborne High Street yesterday. Many people I meet are saying that they want a voice to represent THEIR issues in Parliament, whoever is in government after July 4th.

Independent Parliamentary Candidate, Dr Ammar, for the Birmingham Edgbaston Constituency, showing how Keir Starmer and Labourโs manifesto is failing our children, especially on education.
We need an independent voice in Parliament to hold Labour to account.

Out and about in Edgbaston, meeting amazing people and hearing your concerns! Canvassing has been inspiring. Your voices matter, and Iโm committed to bringing positive change. Letโs build a better future together! ๐ฌ๐ช

The climate crisis is a real threat and it is here now. As an independent candidate I am confident to say that none of my funding comes from fossil fuel donors. I support a record green investment programme and moves to reduce carbon emissions as a matter of urgency.
Political parties have ignored us. Labourโs broken promises and the Toriesโ disarray show they canโt be trusted. Itโs time for change. Vote for an independent voice for Edgbaston. Iโll listen with humility, respond with compassion, and act with integrity.

In Oct 2023 3.4m households did not have enough money for food. Poverty is a huge issue in Edgbaston, with 59.4% of children in the Summerfield area living in poverty. That's almost 3 times the national avg. This is a crisis that must be tackled head on without delay. ๐งต
Healthcare is in crisis. As a doctor, I've seen the NHS struggle firsthand. Itโs time to prioritise patients and staff. Vote Dr. Ammar for a stronger NHS.

Homelessness affects too many in Edgbaston.
It's time for real change. Support Dr. Ammar and our independent party to push for solutions that secure housing.

It was lovely to meet residents at Lench's Court last week to ask for their votes. We discussed the NHS, social care and King Charles!
@lenchs_trust
has played an important role in Birmingham's communities for almost 500 years, a fantastic legacy in our constituency.
Yesterday I joined a protest outside the Council House to call for a stop to the cuts that will have an impact on all of us in Edgbaston. Elect me to be your voice in Parliament and I will fight for realistic funding for the city to get these cuts reversed.
Protecting our NHS and investing in the future of Edgbaston's children. Committed to preserving our healthcare system. - Dr. Ammar

Thank you to the residents of Odell Place for inviting me into your community when I arrived unannounced. You didn't treat me like a politician seeking your vote, but offered true neighbourliness. You demonstrated the best of Brum. Hope to see you all again.
๐งตLabour campaigner told us this letter was hand delivered. Ppl received this in North Edgbaston, but we haven't heard of ppl receiving it in Harborne, Quinton & Bartley Green.
Does Preet Gill believe only some of us care about peace & her not voting for a ceasefire on 15/11?
Birmingham City Council are proposing to close 4 day care centres as part of their budget cuts. The people who use the centres matter. Harborne Day Centre is a valued part of the Edgbaston community and I stand firm with those who are campaigning to keep it open.

Happy Father's Day to all the amazing dads! ๐ Let's vote to end the two-child benefits cap, provide free school meals, invest in education, end tuition fees, and build more youth centres. On July 4th, vote independent. Vote Dr. Amar for Edgbaston. ๐ณ๏ธ

In parts of Edgbaston the number of children living in poverty is almost 3x the national average. I support an end to the 2 child benefit cap that's been identified as a key driver behind child poverty. Elect me as your MP and I will fight to eliminate this cap.

More than happy to sign and get behind this pledge. In Parliament I will do all I can to ensure these policies are introduced so that no one in the Edgbaston constituency has to suffer fuel poverty or a cold home.
We are calling on all general election candidates to pledge their support for warm homes.
In Edgbaston alone, 28,392 of homes are energy inefficient.
@VoteDrAmmar
will you pledge your support?
Please sign the pledge:

Today Starmer said that the country is ready for change, whilst Sunak said that a Labour govt will need to be kept in check. Voting for me, Dr Ammar, on July 4th will ensure that Edgbaston gets the positive change it deserves & an MP who will always represent YOUR views to govt.
