@gechife Followed up this story keenly in my attempt to escape Nigeria. It was interesting how much public officials keep to their duty of care. In one interview, the leader of the rescue team even with much uncertainty was asked when they'll stop & he said until children are found.

As I settled into my visit, I took the chance to reconnect with old friends like Bright- they welcomed set of twins into their family, named Jesse and Jasmine. He lives in Okpu Umuobo, a neighborhood where the Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints had established their Aba temple.

The weather seemed to have its own plans, as it rained consistently throughout my visit. It revealed the shortcomings of the city's infrastructure. Many of the drainage works initiated by the previous govt were poorly executed, causing the rain to wash away the concrete mix.
