Whoever thinks Shiva being worshipped in 5th kaksha of Taratamya is abuse and disrespectful should read Sarasa Bharati Vilasa of Vadirajaru. Rajaru has clearly brought out why Para Shukla traya are Para shukla traya and why Shiva is placed below Rujus in Taratamya.

Brahmacharya has to be practiced even after marriage, even by men. Grihasthas should sleep only with their wives and not anybody else. That's Brahmacharya for them. Read the story of Vashishtha and Arundhati (where she crosses the river to serve food to Vishvamitra and returns)

Considering you're saying women are lock & men are keys.. It is not recommended for men as per our shastras to go sleep with multiple women before marriage. Strict brahmacharya should be followed before marriage. While multiple marriages are allowed, it isn't the practice today

So there are two extremities among hindus 1. Progressive ones who specify in matrimonial ads that they want a working wife with MBA degree etc. (Mostly SIs afaik) 2. People who want house wife and won't let her work (some for genuine reasons and others because of trust issues

@AprameyaM1 I've always wondered how hindus from orthodox families date. So you have to first make sure that varna/jati is same, gotra is different, then make sure that Nakshatra is compatible, match kundli, sometimes even financial status. Imagine finding out that something doesn't match
