We are loving these wonderful knitted scenes that have appeared all over Great Dunmow. Well done to the fabulous Knit and Natter group who created them - a truly heart warming gesture to cheer up the whole community this Christmas.

It's over 30 degrees out there right now. Remember what our Animal Warden Sue said about walking dogs in the middle of the day?
SPOILER: She said "Don't."
Another reminder from our Animal Warden Sue in this hot weather, "If you can’t walk your dog very early or late in the day, then don’t. Not having a walk won’t hurt them, but the heat can!"

We know that moving to the High level COVID alert from tomorrow is tough. But we need to put the brakes on coronavirus sooner rather than later.
The most amazing thing about our district is our community, so let's work together to keep us all safe. 👍

Gmorning.
Sometimes there are garbage trucks blocking every road.
They’re doing their job & so are you.
Peace to the garbage trucks & the folks just doing their job,
Peace to a world that sometimes puts us at cross purposes,
& peace to you, on your way, in as long as it takes.

Our flag is flying at half-mast today as a mark of respect for Cllr Alan Storah who passed away suddenly over the weekend. His passing has been a complete shock to us all and we offer our deepest sympathies to his family and friends at this terribly sad time.
Today we're marking

We apologise to residents of West Road in Stansted for the non-collection of bins for the third week in a row, but once again inconsiderately parked cars have prevented access. Crews are as frustrated as you are.

The count has now started! This is where votes will be counted into bundles of 20 to ascertain the number of votes given for each candidate.
