Let's simplify this: CE is canon, yes? H2 mentioned events of CE, making them both canon. H3 showcases characters and sub plots of H2 making Halo CE, 2, and 3 canon to eachother. H4 mentions the F.O.D in H3 making it canon. And so on and so forth.
