The NCAA Division III membership Saturday voted to allow all multi-divisional institutions to apply Division I rules to their D1 programs. This change will allow Union to offer athletic scholarships for men’s and women’s ice hockey teams for the first time

Tawreak “Ty” Gamble-Eddington '21 has been awarded a Rhodes Scholarship for graduate study at the University of Oxford. He is the second person in Union's history to be named a Rhodes Scholar.

Class of 1980 graduates Rich and Mary Templeton, whose $51 million gift in 2020 was the largest in Union’s history, have given another $40 million to strengthen the College’s distinctive integration of the liberal arts, engineering and computer science.

For the first time in history, applications to Union topped 7,000. Nearly 7,500 students applied to join the Class of 2024, a 23 percent jump from the 6,086 who applied last year.
Milestone met! Union has reached its $20 million goal in the Schuler Access Initiative meaning the College will receive a $22 million match from the Schuler Foundation totaling $42 million in scholarship grant funding.

Juan D. Paneto arrived at Union from the South Bronx in the fall of 1988, pushed by his single mother who stressed the importance of education. He left campus Sunday as a Union grad, sharing the stage with his son, Joshua, a member of the Class of 2021.
