On July 4th, an SUV illegally entered Derby Line, VT from Canada by driving over private property & nearly collided with another car. Vigilant #USBP Agents intercepted the SUV on I-91. The 7 occupants were citizens of France, Canada & Romania. All 7 were expelled to Canada. @CBP

Great work last week by #BorderPatrol Agents from Richford, VT for reporting a large forest fire in Canada rapidly moving towards the town of Franklin, VT. Firefighters from both sides of the border responded & even Canadian airplanes were used to douse the flames from above!

Last week, Champlain Station set a new Swanton Sector record for the most encounters in a 7-day period. Agents encountered 158 subjects from 14 different countries.

In the past two days, Swanton Sector #BorderPatrol Agents have encountered 11 people who illegally entered the U.S. from Canada (6 in VT & 5 in NY). They were citizens of Romania, Honduras, Haiti, Mexico, and Canada. All 11 were expelled back to Canada. @CBP

Another busy weekend for #BorderPatrol in #Vermont ! 21 people encountered in multiple events after they illegally entered the U.S. near the towns of Alburgh, Franklin, Richford & W. Berkshire. They were citizens of Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico & Canada.All were expelled to Canada.

Since March 10th, Swanton Sector #BorderPatrol Agents have encountered 28 children under the age of 14, the youngest only five months old. Illegal entry along the northern border is dangerous! Including this vulnerable population is reprehensible.

Our deepest condolences to the family and friends of Supervisory Border Patrol Agent David C. Milburn. Agent Milburn began his Border Patrol career in 2000, and had been assigned to the Ogdensburg, NY Station since 2007. He will truly be missed by his fellow Agents. Honor First.

Denied! 12/2 - A vehicle attempting to illegally enter the U.S. by driving through backyards in a residential neighborhood near Newport, Vermont was abruptly halted when it became stuck on a stone block. The occupants were apprehended by Newport Border Patrol Agents.
