We do not recommend giving our officers belly rubs...however there are exceptions to that rule....Happy Birthday to Officer Boomer who turned 6 this weekend.
K-9 Boomer is practicing social distancing! Follow his example by staying 6 feet apart from others, refraining from attending events with groups of 10 or more, and limiting shopping to once a week. Stay safe Gator Nation!
Today, we say goodbye to our sweet K-9 Police Dog, Viper, who worked with Officer Motes until his end of watch on January 23, 2020. Viper, a loyal companion on-and-off duty, thank you for protecting the Gator Nation.
There will be a US Navy flyover at this Saturday's LSU game where the Navy will fly over three F-22 Raptor jets. Tomorrow afternoon at 3:00 PM, the Navy pilots will conduct a practice run, so do not be alarmed if you see or hear the jets tomorrow afternoon.
Hurricane Season lasts from June 1 to November 30 every year. Here's a tip on how to differentiate between a hurricane watch and a warning. For a watch, the conditions in which a hurricane can form are possible. For a hurricane warning, the conditions are expected to occur.
UFPD is needing your help to identify these individuals. If you know their identity, please call (352) 392-1111, submit tips via our website, or submit a tip through our silent witness portal at Media request can be made at
