Please be aware of the language in this tweet. To construct @WabKinew in that moment as “storming” and as a “bully” is intentional and racist. He referred to the Premier and Minister respectfully, provided clear education/facts and made a genuine plea. He was stopping harm.

Imagine treating health workers badly. Freezing their wages for years. Weakening healthcare with austerity. Hiding when we have our worst day of COVID cases and health workers are falling sick. Then asking people to “step up”and volunteer. You first, Brian.

This sure doesn’t look like 20 year olds partying @BrianPallister . Hospitals at capacity, healthcare workers have died, Steinbach has one of the highest COVID rates in the country and their hospital is maxed. Curious to know who it is that is actually subject to enforcement.

MB teachers should not have to drive to America to get vaccinated. If the Premier and the Minister of Health can’t see how wrong it is to tell the same people they’ve stretched thin, to drive hrs on the highway to get healthcare in the US... They don’t deserve to lead.

I really wish people wouldn’t say that the United States is broken. It’s not. It’s operating exactly as intended. To say it’s broken is to dismiss the voices and experiences of Black and brown people who’ve been spelling this out for centuries.

Manitoba needs leadership which stands up for human rights and won’t allow extreme views and disinformation to take hold in our public libraries and schools. Our NDP team stands with 2SLGBTQ+ communities, librarians, teachers and all those voicing concerns in Brandon. #mbpoli

Friends. This is happening in Manitoba. More attempts to ban literature, and prevent children from reading important stories. DO NOT STAND FOR IT. Take action. We will not accept banning books. Contact @BrandonMBSD . Write letters. Flood the phone lines. /1

It’s incredible that the Premier, with a serious face says that they’re “laser focused” on healthcare capacity when they’ve cut healthcare funding during this pandemic and have deliberately not filled vacant positions. #mbpoli

Gaslighting 101: "I reflected on that, I saw the reactions and I understood that I was misunderstood, and I apologize for that, I should have been clearer in my comments, but my heart was in the right place."

Real talk. The Premier and Minister of Health knew BIPOC were at greater risk due to COVID. They KNEW and didn’t act. This isn’t a hindsight situation. How can anyone trust the PCs? Public health decisions have reflected their political failings and MBans suffer as a result.

Premie Stefanson welcomed harmful convoy occupiers with open arms and this is the result. She must immediately share her plan of how/if she plans to protect local residents. #mbpoli ‘Freedom Convoy' reunion this February moved from Ottawa to Winnipeg,

The Premier knows he’s left a legacy not worth celebrating. He has done so much harm. And every harmful statement, decision and action taken, was fully supported by his entire PC Caucus. Manitoba needs and deserves leadership that not a single PC MLA has displayed. #mbpoli

This is the type of leadership needed absolutely nowhere in our country. People will remember her actions and that of every politician who emboldened violent racists, those who openly sought to overthrow Government and harm communities.

I'm disturbed & saddened by what we are seeing today in Ottawa. This situation was created by the PM & his desire to divide Canadians. It’s time for MPs to return to the House tomorrow to stop the overreach by this government & restore unity, wholeness & hope back to our nation.

What’s frustrating…and glaringly obvious, is that for months…the PCs have been focused on leadership aspirations and not Manitobans. MLA Stefanson was never interested in addressing the health needs of MBans nor the crisis in our healthcare system. And it shows.

Manitoba – thank you so much for this honour. Our team will give everything we have for the next four years to serve you, the people of this province. Tomorrow, the work begins to make life better. I know we can do it. Because together, we’re capable of great things.

It’s highly problematic that there continues to be no First Nation and Indigenous leadership as part of the daily COVID briefings. Reporters are asking important questions that should be answered by Indigenous pandemic response leaders/expertise. When will this happen??

The Premier isn’t even trying to hide her ableism or capitulation to anti-vaxxers. That and her irresponsible attempt to minimize COVID deaths and still no mention of how she plans to bolster healthcare when admissions continue to rise…. Today’s presser was A LOT. #mbpoli

Conversion therapy is violence and violates human rights. This MP uses language like “lesbian activity”, in a bigoted attempt to reduce sexuality to some sort of recreation or choice. This is also violence. It has no place anywhere. Nvm the HOC. #BanConversionTherapy

Here's a Tory MP just straight up asking: Maybe conversion therapy to get rid of "lesbian activity," is good?

Translation: We did nothing to bolster healthcare, continue to refuse to invest the resources needed to keep Manitobans safe and didn’t use the time we had to develop any semblance of a plan.

Hoping things don’t go sideways isn’t good enough. MB has had some of the most devastating COVID outcomes in the country. Now is the time for Gov to mitigate impacts of a 4th wave. Healthcare plan? 🤷🏾‍♂️ Back to school? 🤷🏾‍♂️. Mask mandate ✌🏾. We must be proactive. This isn’t it.

Revera is and has been outright lying. Families and healthcare workers have been telling the truth FOR WEEKS. If the @MBGov valued people ahead of profit, they would have listened to the voices of truth. Their austerity driven ideology is killing MBans. This is sickening.
