Krita 5.0 beta 1 is out! Now I can post the new splash I made for Krita 5.0. It was originally inspired by Monet's "Woman with a Parasol". I tried to emphasize Kiki's robotic nature, experimented with translucent parts and costumes. I hope you like it!

A long due Madeline! @celeste_game was the first game I ever finished since college. The level design was amazing, and Madeline and me share a very similar inner struggle. Now she has reconciled with herself and reached the summit, I will try my best to reach mine.

Since I found out that A @HatInTime has an official FP2 Lilac mod, I gotta draw Hat Kid and Bow Kid in FP2 NPC pixel art style, right? After asking A Hat in Time's 2D art director @cyanatar for their species, I turned Hat Kid into a Corgi, and Bow Kid a cat. It was a lot of fun!

Landau (Lantu/蓝兔), the heroine from Howie & Landau (2005 TV cartoon). I didn't watch it back then because everybody said it was bad. Now I finally watched it, I think it's actually well-written. Landau reminds me of Sally Acorn. Her intelligence carried her team to victory.

A lot happened. I decided to start again: 1) attending an art course; 2) using my left hand to draw (I was forced to use my right hand as a kid). I did this 1hr practice with my left hand, after a week of initial training. This random character was inspired by @ovopack .

Weeks of research. A month to draw all those 40 pictures. 39 of them never showcased by the organizer. New contest rules added later, dismissing Libbie like trash. My passion and hardwork meant nothing to them. Libbie is now in public domain. You may use her for any purpose.

This year I have been constantly denied and rejected by the works I was passionate about. On the other hand, the quiet exploration of artistic beauty offered me great comfort at herd times. Now I slowly began to grasp the meaning of "one should seek life's meaning from inside".

Because of circumstances, I only return to drawing recently. As for now, I still have 2 unfulfilled FOSS mascot tasks and 2 art trades at hand, all have been dragged on for years. Once I finish those, I might be able to post my own stuff at a more regular basis.

Just revisited some of Akira Toriyama's manga, for the first time as an adult, and as an artist with a mind to learn. I never realized his work was so shockingly good, it's outright inspiring. I haven't been feeling like this for quite a long time.
