A revolutionary new way to practice mindfulness. Your personal meditation guide gets to know you and delivers highly personalised, unique guided medations.

Try it out here:
It's crazy how much insightful and valuable content comes from people with less than 100 followers in comparison to some of the bullsh*t churned out by some massive accounts.
My anxiety has gone from 90% to 30% over the last few years.
How?
By internalising one concept...
I mean ๐ณ๐ฆ๐ข๐ญ๐ญ๐บ internalising it: You have to feel it.
All that exists is now.
The present moment.
The future does not exist.
If there is no future, there are no worries.
Gratitude is more than just a passing feeling or a "thank you."
Gratitude is a very deliberate celebration of the good within us and around us.
It has the power to elevate us to a place of continual appreciation.
Make time for gratitude ๐
One thing I HATE about X:
There are so many people I follow because I love your content.
But you don't show up on my homepage!
Let's reconnect ๐๐ค
Biggest lesson I have learned recently:
Take action QUICKLY.
No matter what it is, if it's something you want to do, you need to get it done.
Delays compound.
Wait for a week now, and you will have wasted months further down the line.
This is the application I am creating:
Everyone will have access to a mental health companion.
Someone they can confide in and who will guide them through difficult times.
Unique and highly personalised mindfulness sessions will be curated for you.
I didn't log in to X at all yesterday.
Today, I had this irrational fear that everyone had unfollowed me!
Anyone else get this after missing a day?! Are we all crazy?!
Action in any direction helps us to figure out where we want to end up.
Spending ages thinking about our destination does nothing.
If in doubt, take action.
Burnout is real everyone!
I speak to my patients about it all the time.
The signs were always there waaaay before crisis point.
Ignoring the signs can really cost us over the long term ๐
The meditation app I have made is now my FAVOURITE app to use for daily meditation ๐
It's great when you make something that scratches your own itch ๐
4 months and 700 followers later:
Here is what I have learned for anyone who is starting their journey ๐
โก๏ธ Forming genuine relationships is key.
โก๏ธ It's really hard to provide meaningful content about something that you aren't actually doing. You have to give people a
!Tomorrow morning!
While you are in the shower...
Take a deep breath.
And feel the warmth of the water on your skin.
Remind yourself of the beauty of life.
And choose one thing that is special to you...
And be grateful ๐
Then tell me how the rest of your day goes ๐
Just a thought:
It's amazing how our happiness can be relative.
My son was in hospital for 5 weeks.
We were next to people who had been in hospital with their babies for 5 months.
We felt very lucky.
It has been one month since I released LearningStory.
My FIRST EVER application.
and...
It has ZERO paying users.
Is this failure?
I learned A LOT about building and launching applications.
I have 50+ free tier users.
I have created a way for me to read unique educational
After a couple days away from being on twitter and working on my startup to focus on medical projects...
I have learned that we don't have to keep all of our plates spinning all of the time!
I am feeling refreshed and ready to engage ๐
Announcement ๐จ
I am going to build and launch an AI startup in 7 days.
Will I manage? ๐ง
Follow along if you want to see how I do๐
It is currently 8.17am in the UK on the 27th May and today is day 1.
The truth is that if we surround ourselves with the right people...
The kind of people who build us up and genuinely have our interests at heart.
Then sometimes someone ๐ฅ๐ฐ๐ฆ๐ด "come to save us". And we can save them too.
My patients say this to me all the time.
They thought depression wasn't real... They thought that people should just pull themselves together and "get on with it".
But now that they have depression, they really understand it. They never new it could feel this bad.
Valuable lesson:
After worrying about it yesterday, I am having a great first day back at work!
Worrying causes us to live through negative experiences in our minds that may never even play out in reality.
People are constantly trying to label themselves by their past behaviours.
"I'm shy."
"I have a bad temper."
"I can't do that."
We don't need to restrict our future potential. Lose the label.
This is always such a controvertial discussion at my medical practice:
Your doctor tells you to lose weight, but they are overweight.
Is this okay? ๐ค
Whenever I post on X, I always write from the heart.
It's easy to try hard to provide value or insight, only to find we are just repeating what a thousand others have already said!
It is only by writing from the heart that we can imbue our message with our unique perspective
Even when I am happy, there is always a slight feeling of discontent under the surface. I can't put my finger on it... like there is a part of me that remains unfulfilled.
Here's something a lot of people don't realise about learning mindfulness:
With just a little practice, it can be employed at will to create a cocoon of calm in an otherwise stressful environment.
Things getting too much?
Sink into mindfulness and feel that familiar comfort of
Adding a streak counter to the meditation app. If you meditate for two consecutive days, your streak will go up!
How important is this kind of "gamefication" when it comes using the apps that we like?
We have to keep our streak going!
We are about to release version 1.0 of the TuCara app. You're guide will get to know you deeply over days, weeks and months. They will deliver unique, personalised meditations based on your life and your story. Follow if you want to be kept up to date in the run up to launch! ๐

It's funny how
You see people writing in this format.
Usually about:
โ Starting at ZERO
โ FAILING
โ And never giving up!!!
Heck, I do it too!
BUT:
Are we all just copying each other?
Delibarate typo.
Or does this really work?? ๐ค
You tell me X ๐คฃ
As medical professionals, we all make mistakes.
Mistakes can be absolutely devastating for patients and their families.
But they can also be devastating for us.
Mistakes can haunt us for the rest of our lives, make us feel like we don't deserve our role, and make us anxious
Most people don't know this.
But practising medicine is about risk-taking.
In essence, it's about making predictions based on the odds of something bad happening.
Two key questions:
How likely is diagnosis "X" based on the symptoms, examination findings, and tests?
How
Failure is a part of growth. When I am creating software, failure can be a brilliant opportunity to learn.
When I'm practising medicine, failure is not an option. I need to work relentlessly outside of the clinic so that I don't fail my patients.
TIL: Being a new parent is hard. Launching a startup is HARDER.
I made an app the creates personalised educational AI stories that I can read to my son โบ๏ธ Want to try it out?
I launched today on Product Hunt and your support would mean the world to me ๐
