Devastating news about Bill Kenwright. He was a force of nature - passionate, kind and fiercely loyal. The British theatre landscape won’t be the same without him. I was lucky enough to cross his path and feel the bond of family that he cultivated. RIP a very great man.

After watching the finale I honestly think #Chernobyl is a masterpiece. It is an astonishingly well-crafted feat of storytelling: a staggering, flawlessly executed achievement and arguably the high-water mark of TV in the post-network era. Watch it - that is an order, Comrades.

Peter Jackson’s film ‘They Shall Not Grow Old’ is astounding. It gradually draws you into the mundane madness of the Great War then dumps you right in the middle of it.The tech is amazing but never gets in the way. It transcends documentary and is a work of art in its own right.

My first ever professional paid acting job was a theatre tour round Australia with Dennis Waterman. He was warm, gregarious, exceptionally generous and never treated me as anything other than an equal from day one. We laughed for the whole three months. Cheers, Den! #RIPDennis
