There have been 5 $1 million gates this year. Jon Moxley has main evented 4 of them.
The highest quarter hour of the year belongs to him.
He also holds the highest total youtube viewership.
He has been their ace.
He's the wrestler of the year.
Man has the Danielson/Omega gene- no warm up matches required.
Selling top notch throughout and even better in the aftermath. Plugged back in to what made him so.compelling in AEW's first few years.
Mox is bringing out the best in him
"He may have chased CM Punk out of the company with his epic powers of making one off-hand remark everyone forgot about in a promo but CM Punk couldn't let go of and blew up his entire career over, but that hasn't stopped Hangman Adam Page from winning in AEW." What a line 😂
Also, all this *Punk was right to say he was working with children" posts can go away. His behaviour at the scrum was one of the most childish displays we've ever seen, most of it spent talking with his mouth full in a way most six year olds would of been proud of
This company could have been built around such a storyteller but that ended in the spring of 2022. A number of folk cheered it on and now hate the results.
On Mox's back. On Jericho's back. On Kenny's back. On Britt's back. On Page's back. On Max's back. On Darby's back. On Jamie's back. On OC's back. On Matt and Nick's backs, On Bryan's back and on and on and on.
A cumulative achievement for everyone to be proud of.
He attacked them verbally without retaliation
He attacked them physically without retaliation
He threatened others and tried to destroy someone's character without retaliation
He made up stories that portrayed them as animal abusers and portrayed Page as a coward-
This would have been hilarious. Imagine admitting you thought this was about you with the context, never mind scouring BTE for it.
How did the Moxley promo go again on why he was there?
Last thing on Mox for now; what he did for Hangman, using all the criticisms that were thrown at him in that program so that he could defeat every one and allowing him to get his voice and his confidence back through it, is one of the most selfless things I've seen in wrestling
Punk should probably stop the 13 year old crying posts on instagram as well. So many of AEW's ongoing issues are at a direct result of him, his behaviour and the changes he made as management. More of a role in AEW's identity/ perception issues than anyone else except Tony.
You wanted them to be little trolls and now they are.
Be careful what you wish for 😂
I hope they use the tunnel cam from before their entrance to cause extra crying
retired wrestlers finding fault with the modern scene:
Tanahashi: Right It wasn’t like they were watching everything we were doing, they were dropping in and finding things to criticise. I really hated that. It definitely set a bad example I didn’t want to follow as I got older.
'I was always a fan, I never thought I would grow to become a wrestler he was criticising in some blog'
Hiroshi Tanahashi discusses 2012 criticism from Hiroshi Hase, and how the two moved past it in Ace's HIGH!

"There were also indications at this time (really right afterwards that the situation would get messy with legal issues. The idea was, very early on that Punk was going to look for a buyout. He wanted out entirely and AEW wasn't going to press him hard to re-think that stance."
Mox put over so many people in his pod, from his own roster and elsewhere. He laid out alot about his outlook on wrestling and his thought processes. He made his position clear without it descending into further bullshit.
This man is a leader.
This segment also featured Hangman Page making the save, and then having THIS confrontation with Kenny Omega which would kick start their build all the way to Full Gear later in the year.
Just tremendous and listen to that crowd. The best feud ever in AEW history.
The thing I keep seeing in the quotes to this and across twitter is how much this had resonated with people in their own lives. It's a powerful thing when you can do that within the lines of a wrestling promo.
If you don't get why; that's ok. For those that do, this is special.
I know it is only little moments, but Kenny being on screen just changes the feel of these shows. Him, Mox and Hanger being in and out does have an effect.

Dynamite TOMORROW NIGHT?
Cant wrestle 3 minutes but can do a long PPV 2 weeks later.
Lets be clear too. Mox never said he would never lose, he said he wanted to be recognised with the first one. Punk wanted to just win at the PPV.
Stop treating Takeshita like he's done sort of rookie, this is who he's been for a while, just getting the chance to do it on American television at this point
So the Ariel interview got brought up on the Observer this morning. Dave made it clear that he did not question Hunter in the same way he did Khan; especially over the Vince story.
What happened next though was him going into this. 1/2
Here's Nicholas & Matthew Jackson's new EVP tron and theme: "You Leave Us No Choice".
It's just the boys riding in their private jet and showing off. BRAVO. 😂
That one did get retaliation, but not by them
If you think there's any way to claim moral high ground off a BTE crowd clip you need to take a long look at yourself.
Hunter did with Anderson what Dave warned could of happened with Mox if he was a different man. New Japan's mistake was trusting them to have the loyalty they culturally would expect when they clearly just don't have it.
I've watched the reaction to this over the week and what I thought was most interesting was how much of this is already out there but everything here required an instant dismissal. I was also pretty interested by the lack of context in the reporting of it so lets look at both.
"Nevertheless, I am making the decision in the best interests of the many amazing people who make AEW possible every week - our talent, staff, venue operators and many others whose efforts are unsung but essential to bringing our fans great shows on television" A burial.
You were getting:
Omega v Takeshita
Hungbucks v the Righteous (with.Dark Order played in.)
Then they re-signed.
Now you are getting:
FTR v Bucks
Golden Cowboys v BCG and Take
Omega v Takeshita one week later.
"The AEW World Championship means being better then the day before, even if it's just a little bit better, even if nobody notices it but me"- Jon Moxley
"I was worried about being a better me the next day then I was that day and I did that."- Adam Page
As soon as I saw that story last night I knew this was coming, so here's some quotes from today's WOR.
Alvarez: "The Young Bucks and Kenny Omega were at Dynamite tonight."
Meltzer: "Yes, they were not on the show but they showed a video of them"
A million and one thoughts today but we will go with the one:
If anyone tells you Swerve Strickland is not one of the most over guys in the company, stop listening to them.
It's been a while since I've done one of these but there's lots to dissect from that. Let's break down the themes, wording and the callbacks. For those who follow for other reasons: apologies, i quite enjoy doing character breakdowns as well.
#HangmanAdamPage
is ready to mend some fences that have needed mending for a long time... but with who? 🤔
Tune in to
#AEWDynamite
LIVE on TBS right now!
Meltzer: Moxley is a heel
Garrett: very clearly, in the storylines for sure, i dont know about in the real life stuff that is going on
Meltzer: no,no,no he's a babyface in real life for sure
Just saved you 1 hour 39 minutes of WOR.
Before we started this i always said that Page should end up with them standing behind them. He is no longer their 4th, their young boy. He is who they helped to create, built from all of their influences.
Kenny's ability to work people never ceases to amaze me. Then again, there are still media folk who believe he decided to go to Winnipeg because the arena advertised him.
Hopefully he can make the Ospreay and Okada rematches reality.
Kenny Omega on Dave Meltzer:
“He has jumped the motherfucking shark, and guess who is to blame for that? Me. I’m the guy. I broke the scale. It fucked up something in his brain where he doesn’t realise, doesn't even know what a good match is anymore.”
OH MY GOD, LMFAOOOO.
